The photographs are misleading. The property is well placed but very very badly kept. The host was absent from the venue despite early notice of our arrival. We were made to wait for the rooms to be prepared. The rooms and the varandas were very dirty. The place was understaffed. Upon complaint, the host refused to accept the room conditions and demanded exorbitant cancellation charges over the telephone. We paid in full for the check-in day but couldn't stay due to all these issues and had to shift to another homestay nearby. Despite that, the owner demanded money as "cancellation charges".

I had a very disappointing stay at this homestay. The rooms were damp, poorly maintained, and did not feel clean or comfortable. The service was extremely poor, and the staff were unprofessional, unhelpful, and lacked basic hospitality. The overall condition of the property did not match expectations, and several issues were either ignored or handled poorly. Unfortunately, this made the stay unpleasant and stressful. I would not recommend this homestay to others unless significant improvements are made to both the facilities and customer service.

I have stayed one night in this Homestay just before one week, in this peak season, I have received all amenities and no complain should not be raised. I am owner of 3 Homestays in Darjeeling offbeat and Kalimpong offbeat. Ours all properties are deluxe catagory and Kanchenjunga view. I want to say our all valued guests, please don't want such facilities like TV. Wardrobe, Shoe Rack, fridge, Tea cattle in every room, I have read a review of a visitor, and I have no alternative but to tell you at first you should known the definition of Homestay, then write a review against the Homestay, Sir, you insulted all the owners, and it presume that you are non cooperative person. You should not visit any offbeat area, You have spent 6800 for 3 persons for 2 days, you want himalayan facilities from a homestay in remote area. I request you don't write this type of review to destroy the business of a person who is continuing the business after manage many hardle. At Sittong, there is no market. We have depend on Mongpo, Kurseong,Dilaram which distance not less than 5-8 km. You have written about other homestay at Sittong, sir. Your destination should be 3 star hotel, but you are not eligible to stay because you will burgen for price. Sittong, Dawaipani, Tinchuley are heart of any visitors.

Exquisite Beauty with Unique View It was my third visit to Darjeeling hills. I'm an offbeat lover and this time I took a scooty on rent. First I visited Majhidhura, then Darjeeling town and finally to Sittong. View & Homestay -: I would say that Woods Adventure Camp Homestay is the best homestay I've ever visited. It's situated on hill-top, and surrounded by tea-gardens. There's no chaos but complete peace. It offers you a crystal clear view of snow-capped Kanchanjunga. The rooms are uniquely designed with glass on every wall. Lawns are well and attractively designed. Staff-: The staffs are very kind and polite. They'll make you feel more comfortable. Their service, behaviour and friendly manner are charming. Food -: Tea ☕ is very good 👍. Breakfast is delicious too. And Lunch and dinner are truly mouthwatering. I assure you that you'll love their food and hospitality.

An Honest and Detailed Review of Woods Adventure Camp, Sittong Dear all, I would like to share my honest experience after staying at Woods Adventure Camp, Sittong, so that others can make an informed decision before booking. I recently stayed at this homestay and was quite disappointed to find that several basic amenities, which are absolutely essential for a comfortable and pleasant stay, were completely missing or poorly maintained. Despite politely bringing these issues to the attention of the owner, Mr. Parikshit, I was surprised to see his lack of concern and unwillingness to improve the facilities. The owner repeatedly mentioned that he provides “basic amenities at a low cost,” but what I found was that even the most fundamental necessities for a guest stay were not available. A low tariff does not justify ignoring basic comfort, cleanliness, and hygiene. Below is a list of the major missing or inadequate facilities that I personally observed during my stay: 1. No wardrobe, dressing table, or clothes rack for hanging garments. 2. No bedside table, shoe rack, or proper storage options in the room. 3. Poor lighting — the room remains dim even during the day. 4. Bathroom shelves to keep toiletries are missing. 5. Curtains and blankets were unclean. 6. The room carpet was extremely dirty and unhygienic. 7. The bathroom had no handwash, dustbin, or exhaust fan. 8. No drinking glasses, electric kettle, or provision for RO/purified water. 9. No room heater, which is quite essential in the cold climate of the hill area. 10. No backup power supply or inverter in case of power cuts. In our case, we had to be Off the power throughout the night even we had to eat our dinner with our mobile torch. 11. The rooms and bathrooms had an unpleasant odor of fungus infestation and felt unclean. 12. Ceiling had visible fungus and moisture patches. During rain, the water came inside room through under the door as well as from the ceiling. 13. Tissue papers were not available in the kitchen. 14. No wall clock or TV in the room. Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance, and hospitality standards were far below expectations. When I tried to explain to the owner the importance of providing basic amenities in a homestay, unfortunately, he did not take it seriously and clearly insisted that “Nothing more can be expected at ₹1200 per person per day.” We had paid Rs 3,400 per day for a single room as we were total three persons and paid Rs 6,800 to him for our 02 days of Stay. However, I must mention that there are several other homestays in Sittong offering far better facilities, hygiene, and customer service at a similar or even lower cost. Therefore, I sincerely advise future visitors to review their options carefully before booking Woods Adventure Camp. While the location itself is beautiful, the lack of basic comfort and cleanliness made my stay unpleasant.
