Had a wonderful stay at Sukanya Homestay, Sittong. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a beautiful mountain view from the window. The food was delicious and had a lovely homely Bengali taste with a touch of Nepali flavours. The peaceful surroundings and evening bonfire made the stay even more special. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Sittong. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and homely stay in the hills

The Sittong itself is not a great place to visit and that's why it's "off-beat". The road to sittong is dangerous and I have even seen local cab wheels skidding on a uphill climb during rain while there are no guard rails or walls on either side on that way. The wind was stale and weather was humid. Team was alike the city ~35°c. And there's no fan or AC in any home in that area being it a hill station. I went there to escape from city heat and was trapped like a fish without water. Additionally there are forests nearby and in evening, insects are prone to drop inside room by the light. So we had to spend the night in dark room without any airflow and a lot of insects around. We ran away fromtheh location after that night. Homestay people are good indeed as they tried to provide us hospitality however the climate was notffavorable at all.

One of the worst homestay experiences I've had. The room was extremely small, poorly maintained, and visibly dirty. There was no fan in the room despite the weather being very hot, making it almost impossible to sleep through the night. We spent the entire night uncomfortable due to the heat and lack of ventilation. Cleanliness standards were unacceptable. There were stains and dirt on the bedsheets and walls, dust everywhere, and the overall condition of the room felt neglected. The toilet had a strong unpleasant odor throughout our stay. The dining area raised serious hygiene concerns. The cloth used to wipe the tables had a foul smell, and basic cleanliness appeared to be lacking. The food quality was disappointing and did not seem hygienically prepared. Staff members, including those involved in food preparation, appeared to be wearing the same clothes repeatedly, which further reduced confidence in hygiene standards. The photos online do not reflect the actual condition of the property. For the price charged, the facilities and cleanliness were far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, or hygienic place to stay. Very disappointing experience.

সিটং অভিজ্ঞতা..... সম্প্রতি আমার স্ত্রী, ছেলে এবং আরও দুজন মিলে Sittong-এর Sukanya Homestay-এ কয়েকদিন ছিলেন। তাঁদের অভিজ্ঞতা অত্যন্ত হতাশাজনক হওয়ায় বিষয়টি গ্রুপের সদস্যদের জানানো প্রয়োজন মনে করলাম, যাতে বুকিং করার আগে সবাই সতর্ক থাকতে পারেন। উল্লেখ্য, হোমস্টেটি কলকাতার এক ভদ্রলোক লিজ নিয়ে পরিচালনা করেন। অভিজ্ঞতার কিছু দিক নিচে তুলে ধরছি: ১. ঘরদোর অত্যন্ত অপরিষ্কার ও স্যাঁতস্যাঁতে ছিল। বারবার বলা সত্ত্বেও একদিনও ঘর পরিষ্কার করা হয়নি। মেঝেতে থাকা কার্পেট খুব নোংরা এবং দুর্গন্ধযুক্ত ছিল। ২. বাথরুমও নিয়মিত পরিষ্কার করা হয়নি, ফলে ব্যবহার করতে যথেষ্ট অসুবিধা হচ্ছিল। ৩. ঘর ও বাথরুমে কেন্নসহ বিভিন্ন ধরনের পোকামাকড়ের উপদ্রব ছিল। ৪. ন্যূনতম হাইজিনও মেনে চলা হয় না বলেই মনে হয়েছে। ৫. জামাকাপড় রাখার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় আলমারি বা হাঙ্গরের কোনো ব্যবস্থা ছিল না। ৬. একটি ছোট্ট টেবিল ছাড়া ঘরে প্রয়োজনীয় ন্যূনতম ফার্নিচারও ছিল না। ৭. খাবারের মান ও বৈচিত্র্য খুবই সীমিত ছিল। দুপুরে প্রতিদিন ডিম, ডাল, আলুভাজা ও পাঁপড় দেওয়া হয়েছে। অনেক অনুরোধের পর একদিন সবজি বলতে শাক দেওয়া হয়। ৮. রাতের খাবারে চার পিস চিকেন (হাড়সর্বস্ব, with skin), রুটি ও সামান্য সবজি দেওয়া হত। ৯. সকালে শুধু চা, আর সন্ধ্যায় স্ন্যাকস হিসেবে সাধারণত বাঁধাকপির পকোড়া বা পেঁয়াজি দেওয়া হয়েছে। ১০. অতিরিক্ত কিছু চাইলে আলাদা টাকা নেওয়া হয়, এমনকি পরোটা চাইলে তার জন্যও অতিরিক্ত চার্জ করা হয়। ১১. অন্য কোনো খাবার তৈরি করে দেওয়ার অনুরোধ করলে তাতে অনীহা দেখা গেছে। ১২. খাবারের ক্ষেত্রে কোনো ধরনের কাস্টোমাইজেশনের সুযোগ নেই। ১৩. সবচেয়ে হতাশার বিষয়, অসম্পূর্ণ ও অপ্রস্তুত ঘরও অতিথিদের ভাড়া দেওয়া হচ্ছে। পরিবারের সদস্যদের অভিজ্ঞতা যথেষ্ট খারাপ হওয়ায় বিষয়টি সকলের সঙ্গে শেয়ার করলাম। আশা করি বুকিং করার আগে অন্যরা বিষয়গুলি বিবেচনা করবেন।
