Our stay at Relimai Retreat was truly unforgettable. Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Kalimpong, the property offers breathtaking views of the majestic Kanchenjunga, creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility that is difficult to put into words. What made the experience especially remarkable was the warmth and hospitality of the hosts. They welcomed us with such genuine kindness and care that we instantly felt at home. Every detail reflected thoughtfulness and sincerity, making our stay both comfortable and deeply memorable. By the fourth day, leaving felt genuinely difficult. The peaceful surroundings, the stunning mountain views, and the heartfelt hospitality had made the retreat feel less like a hotel and more like a home away from home. The combination of the extraordinary location, the calm ambience, and the exceptionally gracious hosts makes Relimai Retreat a place I would wholeheartedly recommend. A perfect five-star experience in every sense.

There are some places you visit, and then there are places that quietly stay with you long after you leave — this beautiful villa in Kalimpong is definitely one of them.|Perched right on top of a hill and surrounded by trees, the house feels like a little world of its own. Every morning we woke up to the most stunning view of the Kanchenjunga peak, with fresh mountain air and complete peace all around us. It honestly felt therapeutic.|But what made this stay truly special was our host, Sujata. She welcomed us with so much warmth and care that we never felt like guests — it genuinely felt like staying with family. From making sure we were comfortable at all times to sharing stories and local experiences, her hospitality came straight from the heart.|The food was another highlight of our stay. Everything was fresh, healthy, comforting, and made using locally sourced ingredients. Every meal felt homemade and soulful — the kind of food that makes you slow down and truly enjoy where you are.|One of the loveliest experiences was the farm tour she gave us. You could see the love and effort behind everything they grow and produce, and it added such a personal touch to the entire experience.|If you’re looking for a peaceful mountain escape that feels warm, authentic, and deeply comforting, this place is truly a hidden gem. We left with full hearts and beautiful memories, and we already know we’ll miss this place — and Sujata’s kindness — for a long time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Relimai Retreat. We were there only for one evening and the next day morning, but we wished we could've stayed longer as it was very green and peaceful. The house is beautiful and cozy, perfect after a day of travel. The morning hike we took to a nearby school was really fun. Sujata and Nischal were amazing hosts, and the homemade dinner and breakfast they made us was very delicious! We enjoyed the tour of the their farm as well, it was very interesting to see and learn. We highly recommend this place to anyone else who wants a relaxing stay away from the city and a wonderful view of the neighbouring mountains.

We went at the beginning of this month with friends for a quick weekend getaway and what a treat was waiting for us. Starting from the warm welcome by the host family to the serving of delicious local cuisine ( which included a super achar cooked by Sujata's mom), everything was absolutely 💯. The view was stunning from every room. Little Namya was our young nimblefoot trekker who knew the mountains like the back of her hand. And the evenings were spent singing and gazing at the clear night sky!! To top it all came the mixology session by Nischal. Ooh ...super. As we bid goodbye to Relimai, the whole family came to bid us goodbye including Lucy the mountain dog. As the car slowly started moving ,we looked up and there was Sujata's dad waving us goodbye from the terrace. Truly, it did not feel like a holiday ,it felt like a family get-together.

And let's not forget the quality of bed linens! |Nischal, his lovely wife Sujata , little Namya, and parents all had been looking after the guests comfort and minutest details. |Went for holiday with friends and our group came back gaining a family. Thank you.|Ooh let's not forget to thank our extremely friendly 4 legged friend Lucy.

Fresh, homely, and made with so much love that every meal felt comforting and memorable.||A special shoutout to Lucy 🐶, their adorable dog, who added so much joy and charm to the experience!||If you're looking for a peaceful getaway filled with warmth, care, and heartfelt hospitality, Relimai Retreat is something I would highly recommend. 💚

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here in Kalimpong. We were a family of four, and this was easily one of the most genuine and memorable Airbnb experiences we’ve had.||Nischal and Sumatra were incredibly warm and welcoming hosts. They truly went above and beyond—preparing delicious local meals tailored to our preferences, serving us personally, and always being available for tea, coffee, or anything else we needed. The fact that many of the ingredients came from their own homegrown vegetables made the food even more special—fresh, wholesome, and full of flavour.||We also really enjoyed the conversations with them. A highlight was Nischal’s cocktail session—he’s a professional mixologist, and the class was both practical and fun. And of course, the cocktails were excellent!||The property itself is lovely, very clean, and well-maintained. Towels were changed daily and everything was kept spotless throughout our stay.||We did face some electricity issues due to rough weather, but the hosts handled it thoughtfully—making sure we were comfortable, even arranging hot water from the stove when needed.||They also recommended a great local taxi service, which made exploring Kalimpong smooth and enjoyable.||Overall, this stay felt less like an Airbnb and more like being hosted by family. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a warm, authentic experience.

A truly memorable stay at this cozy homestay. The view from the property is breathtaking and the location is beautiful. Access to the property is a bit tough - but thats the price you pay for a view like that. The food is delectable and Sujata & Nischal go the extra mile to make you feel warm and comfortable. Highly recommend the property

Nestled on top of a hill in Kalimpong, Relimai Retreat lives up to the promise of a scenic and quiet time away from the maddening city life and noise and more. The property overlooks the river Teesta on one side and the Kanchenjunga range on the other. The property had three bedrooms, a large dining plus living space plus lot of open spaces and two balconies to enjoy the views and the sounds of gushing breeze and chirping birds. ||We rented the entire property for our family and the experience we had there was far better than we would get any hotel in Kalimpong/ Darjeeling. Especially since we were looking for a place where we weren't just there to stay the night but also spend and enjoy our time amidst nature and with each other. Without being restricted to our rooms or compromising our privacy. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, with the mountain range visible from the bed ( and one of the toilets) and have all the amenities that you would need to enjoy the comforts of city life but avoid its cacophony and AQI. ||The real magic of Relimai, however, is its hospitality that is extended to you by its owners Sujata and Nischal. We really enjoyed their company and were touched by their hospitality. They make the home in a 'homestay' come to life with their warmth, company and delicious food that is partially grown on their hilltop garden and fully cooked in their kitchen. We enjoyed it so much that we didn't feel like going out of the retreat and try the food elsewhere in Kalimpong. ||Highly recommend Relimai retreat to anyone looking for an Airbnb style experience in Kalimpong.

Sujata and Nischal make for some great hosts at Relimai. They are warm and hospitable and make every effort to put you at ease in their beautiful house. The food is delicious and mostly sourced fresh from Sujata's garden. Do take a tour of her orchard to find how she grows her fruits and vegetables and be amazed by her in depth knowledge. Also highly recommended is Nischal's mixology session which we had a lot of fun attending. In brief we were looking for a restful place to unwind and Relimai Retreat rejuvenated us perfectly.

Loved our stay at the Relimai Retreat in Kalimpong. It is a serene and quiet retreat for anyone looking to unwind and relax, I’d highly recommend. ||I was there with my husband, his parents and sister. We appreciated the clean rooms and comfort of the villa with modern amenities situated at the top of a hill with beautiful views of the Kanchanjunga range. We weren’t lucky enough to have the view throughout our stay due to cloudy weather but were able to explore the nearby monasteries, checkout their veggie garden and went for a short hike. Sujata and Nischal were amazing hosts, we had great conversations and the most yummy homemade food everyday. My husband and I also took a bartending class with Nichal. The historical context he shared and the way the session was structured was very informative. We left the place with smiles on our faces 😊

We spent two nights here, and I honestly wish I had booked an entire week. Getting to the property may feel like a journey in itself, but the reward is absolutely worth it. The views are breathtaking, the food is wonderful, and the hosts are incredibly welcoming. I visited with my wife and parents, and all of us were equally impressed. The house is thoughtfully designed, with stunning vistas everywhere you look (even from the upstairs bathroom, where you can take in the Himalayas while seated on the toilet!). One morning we woke at six to watch the sunrise from the upper terrace, and watched the mountains glow in shades of red and pink as mist gathered in the valleys below. We also hiked up to Deolo Heights, where we sat on a hill and watched paragliders take off and circle at eye level. This place is truly a hidden gem.
