Our second visit to this beautiful homestay, and it felt just as special as the first. Surrounded by lush tea gardens, the location is peaceful and scenic. You can see kanchenjunga from room if sky is clear. The ambiance is wonderful, the hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming, and the homemade food is simply delicious. A perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. Looking forward to visiting again!

I went to Sittong with my family and stayed at Tea Garden homestay. It was undoubtedly my best stay in Sittong so far. Balcony side rooms have a panoramic view of the mountain ranges. We got a foggy weather during our visit, but it looked magnificent as well. The balcony area is very spacious, and is a good spot to hang out with your family. Food was excellent in all aspects. What you get in menu completely depends upon the market availability, but the quality and quantity was top notch. I was surprised to find fish in the lunch menu. Barbecue chicken is a must try! And lastly, the staff behaviour was very welcoming. They help you out in everything and are very friendly. We were fortunate enough to receive a local tribe-style departure ritual that made us feel very privileged. I would highly recommend you to plan your stay at Tea Garden homestay on your next visit. P.S. i found grocery stores very close to the homestay.

Very poor service not in time. And insects roaming in the room very poor. Don't book here there are many better options available at the same or less price.

Beautiful rooms.. Wonderful view of the Kanchenjunga from the balcony. Full marks for that! However, the service needs improvement. The staff seemed less hospitable and friendly.

I had a truly delightful experience at Tea Garden Homestay. The hospitality was exceptional — the hosts were warm, caring, and always attentive to every small detail. The food was delicious and felt like a perfect blend of home-cooked comfort and local flavor. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The highlight of my stay was the breathtaking view of Kanchanjangha right from the room — absolutely mesmerizing, especially during sunrise! The overall atmosphere, scenic beauty, and friendly behavior of the hosts made this stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax amidst nature and experience genuine Himalayan hospitality. 🌿✨

Our experience at this homestay was extremely disappointing due to the unprofessional and rude behavior we faced at checkout. We had booked through an agent and paid the advance on time. At checkout, when we offered to pay the remaining amount in cash, the caretakers insisted that we pay the agent or owner online — yet there was no UPI QR code available at the property. We tried contacting the agent, but he did not respond immediately. When he finally answered, he shared a phone number for payment. While attempting to pay online, we faced significant network issues on the road. We promptly informed the agent and he agreed that we could pay once we reached a better network area. However, shortly after, we were stopped by a restaurant owner who falsely accused us of leaving without paying and refused to let us leave until payment was made. This was a humiliating and completely unacceptable experience — something we have never encountered in all our travels. At check-in, despite our booking, the caretakers initially tried to give us a dingy, poorly maintained room. Only after much insistence did they offer us a better room. Even then, the stay was not comfortable — the walls are extremely thin, and we could hear every conversation and noise from the neighboring rooms as if we were physically present there. This made it very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The homestay itself was average: the rooms were clean, the food was decent, and the service during the stay was satisfactory. However, the appalling checkout and payment experience completely overshadowed everything else and left a very negative impression. In a region known for its warm hospitality towards tourists, this was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend staying here.
