Best resort
Very nice resort sitting on top of a hill just ahead of Hanuman Mandir .
It is a 5 mins by car to Delo top.
The rooms are spacious , with splendid views , wide open terraces .
If you have nice clear weather , you will get excellent views from the room itself of Kalimpong city as well as Kanchanjhangha.
And the home made food is tasty , not fancy but prepared with care. Room service is prompt .
All in all , very nice experience.
An Unforgettable Stay at Sangsay Valley Resort!
We had an absolutely excellent and enjoyable 2-day stay at Sangsay Valley Resort in Kalimpong. The bonfire experience was truly outstanding – cozy, magical, and perfect for unwinding amidst stunning valley views.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The owner was especially understanding, loving, and welcoming, adding a personal touch that made our trip special.
Highly recommend for anyone seeking peace, warmth, and top-notch hospitality!
Had a very good experience

The place is very attractive for the pet lovers as they have 3pets who are simply amazing.
Service and behaviour is splendid.
Thank you for making our stay wonderful
Samsay Valley feels like a hidden poem folded into the hills. The moment you enter, the world slows—the valleys stretch wide, painted in shades of green and gold, and mist drifts lazily over distant peaks. The air is pure and cool, carrying the soft fragrance of wildflowers and damp earth, as if every breath is a quiet gift.
Paths meander gently through terraced fields, pine groves, and small streams, each turn revealing a new perspective—a waterfall glinting in sunlight, a quiet grove, or a distant village with smoke curling lazily from chimneys. Accommodation is simple, unobtrusive, and perfectly in harmony with the surroundings; wooden lodges and cottages make it easy to forget the rush of everyday life.
Meals are humble yet satisfying, with local produce that tastes fresher because it feels alive—steaming rice, earthy vegetables, and subtly spiced curries. Sitting with a cup of tea on a balcony, watching clouds roll over the mountains, time feels suspended.
What lingers is the silence, the gentle hum of nature, and the sense that this place exists beyond the usual constraints of the world. Samsay Valley is not a place you visit—it is a place you inhabit briefly, letting the hills and streams imprint quietly on memory and heart.
The best resort in kalimpong I had ever been. Very friendly staff. From food, accomodation, behaviour and facilities everything is just awesome. When we visited the head of power cut in the region due to some natural calamities, but they helped us with everything possible and event carried hot water 2 our rooms.
The food they cook is very homely and at the same time the Chinese is very much delightful. If we request them they will arrange for a candle light dinner also, as we had. Rooms and toilets were clean and tidy.
One can get a clear view of the great Himalaya from the homestay itself. Just opening the window you will get very nice view of the nature.
In short it's a must visit place 😍😍
