Our stay at Ahana Homestay in Gopaldhara (Okaity), Mirik, during 1st week of June'26 was truly one of the most memorable travel experiences we've had. The rooms were exceptionally well-furnished, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Every corner reflected the care and attention the hosts have put into making guests feel at home. The food was simply mouth-watering. Every meal—from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the delicious evening snacks—was freshly prepared, incredibly flavorful, and felt just like home-cooked food made with love. We genuinely looked forward to every meal. The views from the homestay were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the serene hills, lush tea gardens, and the peaceful surroundings made our stay even more special. The highlight of our stay was the warmth and hospitality of the host, Mr. Gurung, his wife, and their two daughters. They are truly wonderful human beings—kind, caring, humble, and incredibly welcoming. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, they treated us with so much affection that we never felt like guests. Instead, we felt as though we were staying with our own close family members. If you're planning a trip to Mirik and want a place that offers comfort, amazing food, stunning views, and heartfelt hospitality, I wholeheartedly recommend Ahana Homestay. It truly feels like a home away from home. We left with beautiful memories and are already looking forward to our next visit.
