Driver: The driver cum Guide arranged for us, Mr. Anmol, was very polite, helpful, and made our trips comfortable and enjoyable. He took us to place which were located on off beat routes...and those places were extremely worth it to visit. He had great Knowledge about places .
Price: Great value for money. The stay was affordable and offered excellent facilities and service for the price.
Stayed here for 3 days and had a fantastic experience. The host is one of the best we’ve met - super helpful with local tips, quick to respond, and genuinely kind. The rooms are cozy, beautifully done, and the whole place has an amazing vibe.
Location is a 10/10. You’re at the very center of town. Ropeway, zoo, and HMI are all within walking distance, which saved us so much time and cab fare. We could step out for snacks or sightseeing anytime.
If you want comfort, convenience, and a host who actually cares, book this place.
It was avert great and comfortable stay. Everything was so clean. There were sight seeing at walkable distance so didn't face lot of traffic also. The people were also very kind and helpful in all matters.
Staying at MARIAM HOMESTAY DARJEELING truly felt like home. Mr Paul, the host cum owner, is wonderful - warm, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed from day one. The location is great, close to the main spots yet peaceful. The terrace is beautiful with wonderful flowers, perfect for relaxing in the evenings.Parking was also available, which is a huge plus in Darjeeling. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, hospitality, and a homely feel. Will definitely come back!
Personally visited and booked Mariam Homestay after seeing the property, and it turned out to be one of the best stays in Darjeeling. The location is excellent — walkable to the zoo and ropeway, with car parking available as well.
Rooms are spacious, toilets are very clean, and the homemade food was absolutely delicious. Special thanks to Paul and his father for their amazing hospitality. They were always ready to help us in every possible way and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the stay.

We had a very pleasant stay at this homestay in Darjeeling. The host was extremely kind, helpful, and supportive, especially when my son fell sick during our stay. His care and concern made a difficult situation much easier for us, and we are very grateful.

The location is very convenient for those visiting St. Joseph’s School, North Point, as it is nearby. The Darjeeling Zoo and the ropeway are also within walking distance.

The stay was very convenient, with all the nearby tourist attractions easily accessible from the location.
Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Grand breakfast on the table, be it Indian or the English bf. Perfect location if your plan includes Ropeway, HMI and Zoo, all within 5-10 mins walk. Mall road is 30 mins walk. But our host Paul insisted on driving us there and spend as much time as we want. He was just a phone call away to drive us back, when half of Darjeeling was already asleep. He would again take us to a place for sunrise, where it was just 7 of us, a lovely tea garden and the spellbounding reflections of first rays of sun on sleeping buddha. As I had four friends from abroad, initially I was paying more attention on them. Once Paul stepped in, it actually made them much more comfortable than I could. Many more occasions where Paul made things much easier and enjoyable. Words fall short for this host!
Strongly recommended if you want to explore Darjeeling but want to stay away from the big hotels and have local experience.
If you are looking for a secluded homestay, away from the noise and dynamics of a cute little hill town, may be this place is not for you.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mariam Homestay, Darjeeling. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hospitality was warm. We had a good time talking to Paul (owner), who helped us with very precise and valuable information regarding our travels there. Not for a moment did we feel that we were away from home. I would highly recommend this homestay to all.

I had a great experience at this homestay. I had traveled alone and yet, the care of the Paul dada and his family ensured that I never felt the longing for home and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I remember that I had to leave at 7 a.m. one day and still dada had woken up and prepared good breakfast for me at 6.30 a.m. so I had time to eat and did not go hungry in the morning. The location too is extremely convenient, the stand is just in front and since it is a bit removed from the supermarket area it is much more peaceful and not as congested. There is plenty of shops around so I never felt the need for anything. I am thankful to Paul dada and his family for taking such good care of me on my trip!
