An absolute hidden paradise! Truly a home away from home.
We had the most wonderful, relaxing stay at Royal Menla Homestay. If you love discovering quiet, offbeat villages untouched by commercial crowds, this is the perfect escape. The property itself is incredibly serene; you can easily spend your entire trip just winding down, soaking in the peaceful surroundings, and relaxing right there.
A massive highlight for us was the food—the hosts treat you like family and serve up delicious, healthy local food made with so much love. They even provide all 3 meals, making it a completely stress-free, perfect getaway where you don't have to worry about a thing.
Just one practical tip for fellow travelers: Since it’s tucked away in a beautiful offbeat location, I highly recommend bringing your own bike or renting a car. Having your own wheels makes it super easy and convenient whenever you feel like driving out to explore Mirik and the surrounding sightseeing spots.

Location: It is about 13 km from Mirik, and the road condition is mostly good.

Ambience: The homestay is isolated and located near the landmark iron bridge. It is extremely calm and quiet. The entire area is very clean, and the campus is filled with a variety of trees and flowering plants, which makes the surroundings pleasant and refreshing.

Cottage: There are three cottages available. We stayed in the six-bed cottage, which is not very spacious for six people. The other two cottages seem to be better options for a comfortable stay. Like the premises, the cottage is also very clean, including the bed linens and washroom.

Food: The food is simple but tastes just like home-cooked meals.

Activities: Mirik Lake is about a half-hour drive away. A trip to Balasan Bridge is also a pleasant experience.
Conclusion: The young hosts are well-behaved and hospitable. The serenity of the homestay is truly enjoyable.

A beautiful peaceful place surrounded by mountains and rivers .Just 9-10km from dudhia and a wonderful view of Kurseong from the homestay(Royal Menla),river Gaymon just 30 min by walking distance.
And at last the hospitality a 10/10 with delicious food made by the owner and her family.
