Best View Homestay

One of the best homestay you can find in darjeeling. The best part are the rooms and the view you can enjoy there at night and the Morning the view is amazing . The host Tashi uncle is excellent he provided us with everything we need, even arranged for a car for sightseeing in a very short time. One issue one might face is it can be difficult to find, and sometimes you need to order the food 😅 but leaving all aside it is worth it 👌 😉

The homestay rooms are very nice and well maintained also the caretaker Dadi is very nice and cooperative ,but the location is very misguiding the location is actually in the very interior of the Darjeeling City which is kind of inaccessible and you will have to carry your luggage rudhi downhill of the city and also as the terrain is very steep the apartment is inaccessible with taxi also if there is any taxi that goes there it charge very much like 500 to 600 rupees for me early 1 km and also the photos are also very miss guiding about the view

We have visited Darjeeling in the month of January and after readiing the review we went there, first of all it's very far from mall road , they took almost Rs 500 - 300 to go to mall road, also you have to climb a lot from there to reach the road. Secondly not even an induction was provided they told us that people will spoil that that's why we don't keep. Room are okay but no private room. No heater was available it was freezing cold outside, they didn't even allow us to do a bon fire. Too much restrictions. Food was not available and we were so far from mall road that we have to order it as soon as possible ,Apart from that the view was nice from the Home stay.

The food was delicious and nicely prepared. Ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavour was good. The food was served properly and looked appetizing. Overall, the food experience was good.

We stayed at Best View Homestay for 3 days from 20th June 2025 to 22nd June 2025. And I must say it is a home away from home. Rooms were very cosy and clean. Special Thanks to Tashi uncle, he is such a gentleman. He took care of everything right from our arrival. From arranging taxis to giving suggestions for our trip, he helped us in everything with a very gentle smile. Also I want to mention the food we got there, it was simple yet very tasty. Got to taste some local vegetables at his place. Also want to thank Khando for decorating room and arranging cake for our anniversary. She did a fabulous job in a very little time. We got lucky on last day of our stay and got view of the great Kanchenjunga from terrace as sky got clear for some time.

A Truly Homely Experience at Best View Home Stay - Darjeeling (14 - 17 May 2025) We had a wonderful family trip to Darjeeling from 14th to 17th May 2025 and chose to stay at Best View Home Stay. The name truly reflects the experience - it felt like a home away from home. The stay was peaceful and comfortable, nestled in a quiet location that allowed us to relax and enjoy quality family time. My parents, my wife, and my son Bihaan - all of us felt equally welcomed and at ease. A special thanks to Tashi uncle and his daughter Khando for their incredible hospitality. Right from the booking, they were helpful, kind, and attentive. We especially enjoyed the warm bonding over delicious homemade momos and steaming garam chai. The scenic beauty from the terrace was simply breathtaking - a peaceful spot to unwind and admire nature. We had hoped to catch a glimpse of the majestic Kanchenjunga, which would’ve been the icing on the cake, but due to the cloudy weather and heavy fog, it wasn’t visible. Still, the view and overall atmosphere were more than satisfying. Our stay at Best view Homestay was just like a home away from home. I went there with my family (my parents are 55 and 60 years old) . We were hosted by Khando's father who took care of us from the moment we reached Siliguri . He is pro-active, kind , humble and jolly person. The place is located just 50-60 m uphill (not at all stee from Rajakothi motors stand from where you can take shared taxi to Chowk Bazaar (Uncle guided as and he himself came with us to Kalyan motors stand). The location is well connected however it is little far from Chaurasta but we were able to walk easily from Chowk Bazaar. Rooms are clean and exactly same as photo. Rooftop is the one of the best thing about this homestay. It gives 360 degree view of Darjeeling and the view is absolutely stunning. Both Uncle and aunty suggested local food at home at a surprisingly lower price. They helped us getting a driver for sight seeing and were available always on call. Definately taking this homestay for my next visit.

I travelled with my parents and had a great time there. The hospitality is great and the views are awesome. Highly recommended.

I had a pleasant stay here! The place was spacious and comfortable, and the owner was incredibly kind and helpful. The only downside is that it's a bit difficult to reach, but once you're there, it’s worth it.
