Very affordable family owned small farm with onsite accommodation. Sushil is very welcoming, knowledgeable. Highly recommended for kids who willing to make their hand dirty and want to learn good knowledge of local farming this is place. Looking for small hike, small beak from busy life, want to enjoy fresh air and local simple food. My family thoroughly enjoyed their first term break.

I had the pleasure of visiting Farmer Sushil’s homestay with my two boys for a post-exam getaway, and I’m truly grateful that we chose this beautiful farm experience for our children. It turned out to be far more enriching and memorable than we had ever expected. From the very beginning, Sushil ji proved to be an incredibly warm and talented host. In the evenings, he delighted us by playing the violin, creating such a peaceful and magical atmosphere. What made it even more special was how patiently he taught my children how to hold and play the instrument, sparking their curiosity and joy. He also took the time to guide us around Kalimpong town and shared his deep knowledge of agriculture with my kids throughout our stay. The hands-on experiences were truly priceless—he encouraged them to harvest their own vegetables, showed them how cows are milked, and explained concepts like pollination and the importance of manure in such a simple and engaging way. They even learned to observe birds and their nests, and enjoyed little fun activities like making sounds by blowing leaves. One of the most heartwarming moments was when we cooked and ate the vegetables the kids had harvested themselves—it gave them such a sense of accomplishment and connection to nature. As a kind gesture, we were even gifted pumpkins, papaya, and some plants to take home, which made the experience even more special. Last but not least, Sushil ji’s wife, Shila, added so much warmth to our stay. She lovingly taught my children how to make khapse, a Bhutanese special bread, which they thoroughly enjoyed. A very special thank you to Aunty as well for always making sure my kids had warm milk to drink—it truly felt like home. I wholeheartedly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a meaningful and enriching experience with their loved ones. This place is not just a stay—it is a beautiful journey of learning, connection, and joy. I sincerely thank them from the bottom of my heart. Truly, they are beautiful people with even more beautiful souls.
