Warm hospitality and breathtaking views, made Dojin Homestay feel like a home away from home. The hosts were very kind and gracious, making us feel like we were not their guests but their family. Extremely neat and well-maintained rooms and washrooms, delicious homemade foods that beautifully incorporated their local traditions and flavours. I loved the stunning scenic landscape visible from our room and balcony and waking up to the melodious tunes of birds like sultan tits and warblers. We were also fortunate enough to spot a Rufous-necked Hornbill right from our balcony. A sincere gratitude to Sanjay bhaiya, whose guidance made it possible to discover hidden wonders like frogmouths and other beautiful birds. It was a beautiful experience and I would love to revisit again.

I really loved the homestay.....The warmth and hospitality of everyone here makes it totally feel like a home. The location is absolutely perfect for nature lovers with homemade tasty and delicious food. We were able to spot rare birds from the balcony only. The place is overall peaceful providing a refreshing experience.I would surely visit Latpanchar again and stay in Dojin homestay 😊.

If you are headed to Latpanchar, do not look further. Dojin Homestay has the best location - we were able to spot warblers, common green magpie, rufous sibia, black bulbul, eurasian sparrowhawk, orange bellied niltava and veriditer flycatcher from the balcony. We saw the rufous necked hornbill a short walk away to the elephant watch tower. Sanjoy is very friendly and extremely helpful. He went out of his way to help me coordinate with transport providers. He is a gifted birder himself and managed to spot a hodgsons frogmouth!

Mr Sanjay and his wife were our host Our time there was spent joyous with birds arround. Home cooked food and their hospitality was heartfelt. The rooms were clean with basic amenities.

Dojin homestay is a home away from home. Sanjay ji is not an homestay owner. He is a friend, guide for everything and a terrific and caring host. Rooms are well maintained, services are top notch and location is so serene and pristine. Food quality is awesome. My 4 year daughter was so happy. I will highly recommend it and will surely visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at Dojin Homestay. The food was absolutely delicious, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, making our stay truly memorable. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent experience staying here with my family during our vacation . The location is very beautiful, surrounded by peaceful and scenic mountain views .The best part about this homestay is its owner sanjay bhaiya he was so friendly and welcoming to us we really felt like home there . The food here is also very delicious and home like which made our stay even more special . Overall it was a wonderful and memorable experience .... highly recommended for everyone

Felt like home. Four days of good food, hospitality, music and loads of fun. The best part was bird watching, surrounded by mother nature and Mr. Sanjoy Tamang one of the finest humans I've come across.

This is by far the best Homestay in Latpanchar, The location falls near the Jungle and you can easily spot 30-40 bird species from the homestay. The highlight of this homestay is its owner Sanjay Tamang, and we were amazed by his Energy and hospitality, He is a one man army. He personally took us to birding trips and he ensured we cover everything. The food quality was awesome and tasty, they provided us breakfast ,lunch , dinner , snacks at a very reasonable price. I would suggest everyone book guide in consultation with sanjay ji only as he is a very knowledgable person. 5 star for me. The only suggestion would be, the housekeeping services could be better, but i am sure they will improve it.

Excellent experience staying at the homestay. Food and accommodation were great. The best part was the owner Mr. Sanjay ji . Had a wonderful birding experience with him. Got good images of birds because of his efforts.

Long read ahead! :) but it will be worthy I promise! I had an incredible experience staying at Dojin Homestay, and a huge part of it was because of the amazing host, Sanjoy. His passion for birding and his warm hospitality truly made my trip unforgettable. Thanks to him, I was able to witness so many beautiful birds at Latpanchar, including the Rufous-necked Hornbill (female)—a moment that still fills me with joy as I write this. The thrilling bike ride along the mountain curves and the adventurous trek through the slopes, just to catch a glimpse of this majestic bird, are memories I will cherish forever. Sanjoy is a true birder at heart. He is constantly learning, and his excitement when spotting a new bird is contagious. His enthusiasm made our birding experience even more special. Even from the comfort of the homestay, I got up-close encounters with Black-throated Sunbirds, Rufous Sibias, and Oriental White-eyes. One of the highlights of my stay was the on-foot birding tour right after lunch, where Sanjoy spotted the White-browed Scimitar Babbler and Golden-fronted Leafbird. Very neat and clean room with homely food. Having momos as evening snacks was another great thing that got added to the list. Even though Sanjoy couldn’t personally host us for the last two days as he was busy, he made sure everything was well taken care of. He ensured our meals arrived on time and even checked in on me when he heard I wasn’t feeling well. I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture. Although I missed the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary exploration with Sanjoy due to my illness, I am not gonna miss it next time. This trip was nothing short of amazing, and I will truly miss my stay at Dojin Homestay. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Latpanchar, especially bird lovers. Thank you, Sanjoy, for making this journey so special! :)

Had a great bird watching experience! Travelled with my kid and so, was initially worried about safety but only until we met Mr Tamang. He ensured that right from pickup to drop the whole trip was extremely smooth-sailing and did not have to worry about anything. Food was great! He made sure we went to the birding locations on time for best possible sighting. The stay was simple, cozy and comfortable.
