Tenam Garden Holistic Homestay

One of the best homestays in which I have ever had the pleasure of staying. The hosts are simply a delight. Welcoming to the very core. The room is a quaint cottage with complete privacy. We arrived with a couple of pets and it was truly pet friendly in every sense. Even the food is amazing and worth the visit to their cafe by itself. Will be visiting again in the future for sure. Totally recommended!

If you don't get a room to stay, stay on roads but not here. They treat you like you stay in hostel and charge you like 5 star hotel in room filled with cockroaches and spiders.

One of the best property in Kalimpong. The people, the story, the food, the garden they own, the view from nearby places, the all over vibe at this property is calm soothing and peaceful. The owners are amazing too. We conducted a small wedding at this property of 40 pax and the owners took great care of us with all the amenities we were in need. Just 10/10 rating. Once a person visits the property, the experience stays the longest in their heart. Bidhya, Dechen Jojo & Binita are such great host. Miss you guys!

The hospitality of the hosts and staff was exceptional. They were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared with great care. The homestay is perfect for anyone looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and experience genuine hospitality. I would highly recommend this place to families, couples, and nature lovers visiting Kalimpong. Looking forward to visiting again.

Tenam Garden is a lovely homestay located on a sprawling property with spacious rooms, a cosy restaurant, a nursery an ayurvedic massage and meditation centre. We were hosted by our extremely hospitable and gracious hostesses Bidhya and Binita Rai. The food was delicious and customised to suit our needs, the ambience was cheerful, friendly yet extremely peaceful. We visited Kalimpong with family for 2 days and stayed at Tenam Garden Homestay. We had a good time there. The place is bit away from the main town but that's what we wanted. The food was not fancy but good and made to order. The dining space is awesome and you can spend your time there itself with many books around. The nursery is a good addition. The hosts are wonderful & homely. We had good conversations. She also helped in arranging car for our pickup from NJP and day trips. In short a lovely stay and we would always recommend.

I visited Tenam Garden for a day, and it turned out to be one of the most enriching homestay experiences I’ve had in many years of travel. The property is almost 10 km away from kelimpong, nestled amidst lush greenery. The quiet, the forest, and even spotting a few beautiful birds made it feel deeply restorative. It’s the kind of place where you slow down without trying. There is a thoughtfully curated nursery on the campus, and a peaceful shala where they offer in-house Ayurvedic treatments, along with space for yoga and meditation. The intent behind the space is visible. you can feel it in how everything is designed and held together. The food was simple and delicious, with a special mention for their pickles. What stayed with me most was the people. There is a genuine sense of care and belonging. Even in a short visit, they made me feel at home. If you are looking for a quiet, intentional space to pause and reconnect, even a day at Tenam Garden is worth it.

Really brilliant place in a nice and quiet part of the area surrounded by lovely flowers and really friendly workers. They have a really cozy "Bhutan house" made out of repurposed Bhutanese materials which is very unique, and they serve really delicious food and drinks in their cafe which is very cozy too! Amazing place to stay!

Beautiful and authentic experience in the green and serene outskirts of Kalimpong. With a beautiful restaurant and garden in a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. They also have a plant nursery and a hall for yoga and Ayurveda massages. Very kind family; they will share with you delicious food and homemade alcohol, and take you on beautiful and interesting tours in monasteries and the surrounding area.

Namaste 🙏 I stayed at Tenam Garden for 25 days and it has been one of the best homestay experiences in my travel as a nomad. They are located away from the busy center of the town amongst lush green forests, where I got to see some exotic species of birds. They have a lovely nursery, where one can buy plants. They also have a shala with in-house ayurvedic treatments, and to practise yoga and meditation. The food at their restaurant Mikoto is delicious and a lot of thought and effort have been put into the interiors, especially the rock wall. A special mention to the Amma of the home, who is extremely sweet, makes her own pickles, atleast 15 different varieties which are amaze, and you can also buy to take home. She also brews her own wine, which was unlike anything I have tasted before. Also, there are 4 super friendly dogs at the property, who love to play and snuggle. Everyone made me feel at home from the very first day, treated me as part of their family and went out of their way to nurse me back to health when I fell sick. I am extremely grateful to have met such a loving family and spend some quality time with them 🤗❤️

As a starter the place is amazing with so much space and with beautiful garden and one of the most amazing experience was Ms. Binita’s food top notch. Traveled a lot but never have i ever I found the food so delicious and unique. From breakfast to lunch to dinner. I for sure you guys try this place out and I guarantee you will not disagree 🥰 We will visit this place next year again to just experience the most amazing hospitality and such a warm people.
