Jalsa Bungalow is a charming nature resort located in the Munsong (Mungpoo/Mangchu forest area) of West Bengal, surrounded by forests, mountains, and peaceful greenery. The biggest attraction of Jalsa Bungalow is its quiet jungle ambience, beautiful views, and relaxing atmosphere. It is a great choice for travellers who want to escape busy city life and enjoy nature, fresh air, bird watching, and scenic surroundings. Highlights: ✅ Beautiful forest location ✅ Peaceful environment and mountain views ✅ Ideal for couples, families, and nature lovers ✅ Good place for photography and relaxation ✅ Tree-house style stays add a unique experience (as mentioned in guest feedback summaries) Things to consider: 🔸 The remote location may not suit travellers looking for shopping areas or city-style facilities. 🔸 Best enjoyed as a slow, relaxing nature holiday rather than a fast-paced sightseeing trip.

A great place to spend a full day on a secluded hill top. This bungliw was built in British period and now under the directorate of Sinchona plantation. Travellers can stay but prior booking needed. There is a basic canteen. Two new tree houses are built some years back. View of Tista river valley is simply breath-taking. Sunset is worth mentioning.

Beautiful location. At the top of the mountain. There has tree house to stay. Also have normal bungalow rooms. Various types of trees like sincona, coffee, cardamom and other are available here. Also have a cinematic view of tista river.

Excellent location but no one is there to guide the tourists . No provision to watch the bungalow from inside.

This guest house, under the Government of West Bengal, is located in a naturally beautiful and peaceful setting. The surroundings are truly attractive and have great potential to offer a wonderful experience. However, the poor management and lack of maintenance are clearly visible and completely unacceptable. Basic facilities are not properly maintained, and there is no proper supervision. It is shocking that the caretakers living there are facing serious issues like scarcity of water and food. They are forced to grow their own crops through small horticulture just to manage daily survival. Even their living conditions are not adequate. The natural beauty of the place deserves appreciation, but the authorities must take immediate and strict action to improve maintenance, provide basic necessities, and ensure proper living conditions. Without serious intervention, the condition of this government property will continue to decline.
