Swarna Kamal Homestay

This was my first ever trip with friends, and trust me the overall experience was great. People are extremely polite and helpful. Coming to the homestay, the location is bit offbeat but that’s the speciality of the homestay, the owner, her son and her husband all of them were very welcoming and polite. The owner is indeed a great chef. The only thing I want to highlight is the lights that are installed in the rooms, those LED bulbs are bit dim and at evening/night it feels dark inside the room. Rest there is nothing to complain about everything was 10/10

Best location homestay in Darjeeling

I went solo, they comforted me with every help. Felt like I went to my didi's house for vacation. Srijana di is really a sweet person. Room is neat and clean and worth for the price as well. Surrounding are also good. All over experience is very nice.

On road location, just 20 min walk from ghoom railway station. Well connected with nearest view points

Room light is too less. And may be price should be 1000 rupes. I have paid 1889 rupes by online booking

The hotel owner’s behavior is very good, and rooms are available at an affordable price. The location is excellent — the Toy Train passes just below the rooms, and the Dali Fatak taxi stand is right in front of the hotel. From the taxi stand, you can easily get a shared taxi to Darjeeling Market for just ₹20. The Batasia Loop Monastery is also near the hotel. The food at the homestay is very delicious, and the view from the hotel is beautiful.

The rooms & facilities are excellent !! The behaviour, approach & gesture of the owners (Mr & Mrs Tamang) are excellent. The food (breakfast, dinner & tea) are awesome, deliciously beautiful.

Its very much near to Mall, Rooms are best with all kind of facilities provided. The owner and his family are too good, always helping and provided all the necessary amenities required. Food was too good. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Overall the room the family and the place are too good

I, stayed for 5 days, it was really great. The room was neat and clean, and the view of Kangchenjunga hill was amazing. The service was also very good. I will definitely recommend SWARNA KAMAL HOMESTAY. 😊

At the price range they charge, it is a great value for money property. It should be ideal for those who wants to avoid busy hustle bustle of mall road area. Not too far though. Just opposite to the hotel, there is taxi stand for your convenience. From balcony, you can enjoy mighty Kanchenjunga view and toy trains are passing just in front of your doorstep. The behaviour of the host is unparalleled. The food they provide is simple yet super tasty.Considering all positives, I strongly recommend this property.

The owner was incredibly warm, cordial, and friendly .This isn't just a homestay; it's a supportive family atmosphere.​ A massive highlight was the food 😋—every meal was a delight, but Aunty's Momos and Pakoras, with a cup of perfect tea, deserve a standing ovation! 👏 It's more than just a stay; it's a heartfelt slice of Darjeeling life. Highly, highly recommended!

The owner asked checkout for 11:00 Am but normally the hotel check out is at 12:00 am the owner is pathetic her son is quite nice and provided water but owner can’t keep clam always is rush and make the guest too feel like rush There is tv but it don’t work at all 🥲
