Overall, our experience at Varnak Eco Stay Homestay was truly wonderful! We were genuinely impressed by their warm hospitality. The environment is peaceful, beautiful, and exceptionally clean. The owner and staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The most amazing part is the breathtaking natural beauty surrounding the homestay, which makes the entire place even more charming and inviting. We had a memorable and relaxing stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

It is a nice stay in Varnak Ecostay. We use to stay many Home stay in offbeat Darjeeling but this Home stay is quite special for us. The cottages are well decorated and well maintained. Moreover the behaviour of the staffs and both the owner (Sir and Ma'am) is very much polite, also their food quality is delicious. Now, about outer decoration of the Ecostay is excellent. I positively visit this place again for sure.

It was a wonderful stay. The place is surrounded by mountains, greens... sitting amidst nature. Serene, beautiful, calm...soul becomes one with nature. Service of Kartikda and Kaki was impeccable. The only drawback is the road leading to the Ecostay...Varnak should arrange transport for the last kilometre which is most troubling.

We stayed in the duplex cottage at this property from 24th to 26th May 2026, and it turned out to be a peaceful retreat amidst nature. The property is truly a hidden niche for anyone seeking solitude and a quiet escape from city life. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and the meal choices were excellent throughout our stay. The serene surroundings, natural beauty, and calm atmosphere made the experience even more relaxing. The only drawback was the road accessibility. The last stretch of around 2 km was quite muddy, and we had to arrange a 4-wheeler service from Bihibarey, which increased the transport cost by nearly 20%. However, once you reach the property, the experience makes up for the inconvenience. Overall, it was a calm and refreshing stay close to nature. Anyone looking for peace, solitude, and a nature-centric getaway can definitely consider staying here.

We had a beautiful experience staying this beautiful homestay far away in the remotest of the places . Kaki and chotu da took all the efforts in making our stay comfortable and memorable. We would love to come back again to this peaceful place and have the home cooked meals and get ourselves list in nature

The Homestay is great the place is best for relax the stuff uncle is so friendly please cheak it 😁😁❤️. But one thing remember as the place is situated at very very remote area so the food is average. If you ignore it and want to spent a relax slow time with you and your family, just cheak it 👌✌️

The homestay is located far from the city life in a very peaceful environment. Very well maintained . The staffs were very humble and great hospitality was shown to us . We lived every corner of the homestay . The food cooked were just great without lot of oil and spices . Our two day stay was extremely good watching the views in front, playing indoor games with my kid and hiking a bit . Overall it was a great experience and we would love to return back again in winter

The cottages are comfy and peaceful Morning views and night views took my heart away..... Even they guided us at night to saw darjeeling view from there homestay. Food was awesome They take care of usssss everytime We both loved there premium wooden cottages , sitting area , dinning space , And there was also a open space for playing games ....... Our personal favorite was bonfire spot , we both take Morning tea , breakfast , evening tea snacks there...... We also enjoyed our bonfire night And bhaiya makes best tandoori we enjoyed that & bhaiya's behaviour was soo good and kaki made best food which we had..... Very recently, in the second week of may this year 2026 , we planned to visit north bengal, not the usual tourist spots , but somewhere in the Himalayas more closer to nature than to sweater shops or chicken croissant. We chose , after my friend suggested, Varnak Ecostay, up from bijanbari, to the top of the mountain , overseeing sikkim in nearly 180 degrees and a river separating bengal and sikkim ( I forgot the name ) . We reached there late in the evening but was given a warm welcome with hot tasty pakoras and we'll flavoured tea while we breathed the evening cool , non polluted air . After a sumptuous dinner we went off to sleep in a unique wooden made prism shaped standalone house with a double decker station , well lighted and Decorated. Next morning we woke up tired from the last days bande bharat train journey and the car ride from njp to varnak. But as we opened the bungalow door , it was amazement, our bungalow was literally a tree house as the ecostay promoter had well preserved the grenery and saved nature and it's flaura and fauna . We felt we were blessed to choose this place . Travelled along the roads up.and down and saw the neighbourhood very sparcely populated . The exostay staffs were very courteous and helped make our stay feel like home .

The place is good as in to stay and hangout but food was below average..very cold food served and evening tea was just black tea..we had to get the milk ourselves and since we were leaving early tomorrow no breakfast was given..we had to beg for maggi. AND PLEASE DONT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAP ELSE YOU WILL GET LOST.

We had a lovely stay at Varnak, Alaytar. The front view of Kanchenjunga peaks, the serenity was unparalleled. Received warm hospitality of the owners, the food menu was carefully picked up and tasted delicious. One area of improvement is the wooden cottages spaces are a little crammed to move. The staff were extremely cordial. The onus of keeping a place wonderful and memorable falls on the guests too and the sad reality is we, as a guest, are failing miserably day by day. Throwing garbages here and there, partying in the midnight ruining others peace, using the caretakers as personal servant is shameful. The management needs a strong policy in place and implement it fully. Thank you Varnak. Will meet soon

This place is what we exactly wanted to spend on our honeymoon. It's warm, cozy, natural and mind freshening. Bina di and Kartik da were so welcoming. They were always there when we needed something. One of the owners Rupa ji guided us through the whole process with ease. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this place 😊.
