⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, everything exceeded my expectations. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained, providing a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The facilities were excellent, and every member of the staff was courteous, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. What truly made my stay memorable was the exceptional hospitality. A very special thanks to Shristi, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Her warm welcome, genuine kindness, and dedication to guest satisfaction made a lasting impression. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in delivering outstanding service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free stay. The combination of excellent amenities, outstanding customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a place I would happily return to. Thank you to the entire team, and especially to Shristi, for making my visit such a memorable experience!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. The service at this hotel was extremely poor. We were charged extra for an additional mattress, but it was so hard and uncomfortable that we could hardly sleep the entire night. Paying extra for something that made our stay worse was frustrating. There appeared to be almost no staff available. One girl was handling luggage and managing everything alone, which made the whole place feel unorganized and badly managed. The bathroom situation was also unacceptable — water issues and missing basic convenience items. When we raised concerns, instead of helping, the response was that nobody had complained before, which felt dismissive. The worst part was arranging sightseeing and airport transport through the hotel. We were charged a lot, and the driver’s behavior was rude and unprofessional. On the way to the airport, the driver stopped the vehicle and demanded payment before continuing. There was no proper stop for breakfast, and after reaching the airport, we were told to unload our own luggage. Overall, this stay felt overpriced, uncomfortable, and badly managed. I would not recommend booking this hotel or transport service based on our experience. Think twice before staying here.

*Excellent value stay in Darjeeling – 9/10*||Stayed at Muscatel Roma for 3 nights (22nd–25th March) with family. The atmosphere here was very good, and it was situated away from the bustling streets full of noise. Initially got a standard room with limited view, but Ms Shristi at reception kindly upgraded us to a deluxe room next day. Smaller but much better view and comfort. Rooms were clean at the standard level. ||Staff were outstanding. Mr Ayush was very helpful with local guidance and even kept our forgotten umbrella safe for 45+ days till we arranged courier. Ms Shristi was prompt and courteous.||Rooms well-equipped with geyser, heater option, tea setup, and comfy bed. Location is a bit steep uphill from Gandhi Road, which may be tough for elderly, but it’s peaceful and just 7-8 min walk to Mall.||Great service, honest staff, good value for middle-class families. Would happily return.

Very Disappointing Stay Stayed here on 22 &23 may 2026 for 1 night but the experience was poor. Basic amenities like dental kit, soap, shampoo were not provided in the room. Had to ask multiple times. Worst part - breakfast and tea are served only after 9 AM. For people who have early meetings or travel plans, this is completely unacceptable. A hotel should at least provide tea/coffee in the morning. Room was average but service and basic hospitality missing. Will not recommend or come back.

we stayed there for one night, there was no water. They kept making excuses ( which were not even good). The manager Aniket was so unprofessional, he didn't even bother to come and look into the matter. If you are charging this much for a room the service should justify it.

The hotel is located at the top of Mt Kanchenjunga!!, its a long long uphill walk from gandhi road. They cannot provide lunch.Rooms can not provide city view.support staffs are not adequate,as if you have to carry your own luggage to the inside of the room.

**ONE OF THE BEST HOTEL STAYS FOR THE MIDDLE-CLASS IN DARJEELING** I stayed at Muscatel Roma for 3 nights (22nd–25th March) with my middle-aged parents, and overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience. Initially, we were given a standard room on a lower floor (below the reception). However, the view from that room was limited, as it mainly faced nearby buildings, and we didn’t feel very comfortable there. On request, Ms Shristi from the reception kindly helped us upgrade to a deluxe room the next day. Although the room was slightly smaller, it was much more comfortable and offered a significantly better experience. The view from this room (located one floor above reception) was excellent — and although we couldn’t see Kanchenjunga due to cloudy weather, the scenery was still beautiful. One of the best aspects of this hotel is definitely the staff. The front desk team was extremely friendly, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Mr Ayush, who was very warm and welcoming. He guided us about local tourist attractions and was always ready to help with any queries. I also personally thanked him during checkout for his excellent service. Ms Shristi also deserves appreciation for her prompt assistance during check-in and for arranging our room upgrade smoothly. The hotel is located on a relatively steep uphill road from Gandhi Road. This might be slightly challenging for elderly guests or those with mobility or knee issues. However, for us it was manageable, and the peaceful location away from the main crowd was actually a plus. At the same time, the location is quite convenient — it is around a 7–8 minute walk to the Mall, and about 5 minutes from Keventer's, which is famous for its English breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped for a pleasant stay. Basic amenities like Wi-Fi, geyser, water heater, furniture for belongings, dressing table, tea/coffee setup, and drinking water were provided. The deluxe room also had a chair and offered a nice interior feel. The queen-sized bed was comfortable, and extra mattress and pillows were provided when needed. Room service was available, and meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) could be ordered directly. Heaters were available at an additional charge of ₹400 per night. One incident truly highlights the honesty and professionalism of the staff. After checkout, we realized that we had left behind an umbrella at the reception. Mr Ayush promptly confirmed that it was found. Although sending it immediately via post was not possible due to size constraints, the hotel staff safely kept the item for over 45 days and continued to coordinate with us. Eventually, they cooperated fully when we arranged a courier pickup from our side. In today’s time, where many places might not retain such items for long, this level of responsibility, patience, and support from the staff — especially Mr Ayush and Ms Shristi — is genuinely commendable and reflects their commitment to guests even after checkout. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money, especially for middle-class families looking for a comfortable stay with supportive staff and good views. While the steep approach road may be a minor drawback for some, the positive experience, service quality, and location benefits clearly outweigh it. I would definitely recommend Muscatel Roma for a pleasant stay in Darjeeling and would be happy to return again in the future. Overall rating: **9/10** — only due to the steep approach road; everything else was excellent

The food and service were really good. Apart from that the location was really close to the main market which was great and the only issue was that some furniture was broken like light swich plug and tap was shaky, rest all was good. The staff was really kind and helpful💖
