Yuma D Homestay

The homestay is on top of Hotel Yuma... It is just a 5 min walk away from Mall road... Most of their rooms have hill view... Clean rooms with 24 hour hot water... Also have a beautifully decorated sitting room and a terrace from which one can enjoy the mighty Kanchenjunga... The only downside is they don't have a lift service to reach 3rd floor and no car parking... Overall a nice stay...

Dheeraj ji and Sushma ji are the kindest host we’ve come across. They were kind away to keep all our requests inspite of a busy season for them. They provided the best room for us and even decorated it for my 6 months wedding anniversary. Their homestay is a peace of heaven on earth. A must visit stay if you’re looking for a home away from home. And with an amazing view. Next time you’re coming to Darj, do considering booking Yuma D homestay!

Even though Darjeeling was bustling and the heavy clouds blocked our view of Mt. Kanchenjunga, our stay was absolutely spectacular—all thanks to the incredible host. The owner treated us like family and truly acted as our local guardian. He is immensely knowledgeable and impressive, going above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. From local insights to tailoring the best recommendations for our trip, his guidance was invaluable. We stayed in the Super Deluxe View Room, and while luck wasn't on our side to witness the peaks from our window this time, the warmth and comfort of the homestay more than made up for it. "Owner Uncle" gave us a true home-away-from-home feeling. We are already planning to return very soon! Highly recommended.

Good location, Dheeraj is helpful and the family is passionate about maintaining a pristine garden. No pool table available anymore should be clearly mentioned in the listing now. Kids were disappointed as they were looking forward to playing pool as per the listing.

Had a wonderful experience staying with the wonderful hosts! Kanchanjangha welcomes you right from the terrece and from your room window, if weather finds you lucky. An arrey of colourful flowers and orchids keep you company. The food is to your taste and services impecceble! Last but v important is the owner Mr Subbah is a great tour planner who saved us few thousands of taxi fare by his valuable guidance! We wish them great luck now and always. 😊

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The owner and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the staff were polite and always ready to help. Since we were traveling with our 2-year-old child, they took special care to provide suitable food and regularly checked to ensure we were comfortable. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay truly special. Highly recommended!

Not value for money. I pay 3k per night with without breakfast, without TV, without mat, without tooth accessories and most offward is he was rudely talk with my wife.

Amazing stay with our a really nice host providing neat rooms with beautiful old style decoration. Even if you don't get a mountain view room, you still get to benefit from the terrace with a wonderful view and the shared hall aswell. I definitely recommend this place for a really good value on your money and an althogether lovely stay in Darjeeling.

This place are darjiling Mall road near The darjiling toy train station.are other visit place are arriving 200-600 mitter. And room and bathroom are so comfortable

Just a few minutes walk from the toy train station, this gem is located. This is what I call a homestay or rather a luxury hotel, and also very affordable. What a room and what a service? Everything was there, nothing you had to ask for. Good information and a person who understands the meaning of service, very refreshing. You are greeted by the owner, Sonder, and everything feels safe. The rooms are located in a private residence on top of the hotel with fantastic decor and then 2 large terraces with lots of plants and flowers and amazing views, absolutely wonderful. In the morning I got to enjoy the view of the snow-capped mountains, you were blessed. You are treated like a family member and I can only say that you are lucky if you get to stay there. There is a good restaurant in the hotel and just a minute away there are beer shops. Can highly recommend Yuma Homestay.

Awesome experience and this was my repeat tour at this place. You will be cordially welcome d by Owner Mr. Subba and his wife. We love the hospitality over there and will be again going back to this place next time. We enjoyed the mountain View from the homestay. The location is right below the mall road taxi stand. We stayed in Yuma D Homestay for five days, and we had a great experience. The owner, Mr. Dhiraj and his wife are extremely warm and friendly, and make gracious hosts. The staff is very welcoming and well-mannered too. The rooms are spacious, and the entire place is decorated very tastefully. The view from the terrace is to die for, and we spent all of our leisure time there. Will definitely be visiting again! 😄😄

One of the best homestays at the very heart of Darjeeling. Location - As the address suggests it's on top of chowkbazar. At 2-3 min walking distance from all the attractions. On the third floor of a hotel named yuma. View- Breathtaking will not justify. The whole moutain range is visible from room, terrace and the freaking bathrooms. Amenities - You will get all necessary things- coffee, tea, kettle, geyser, etc etc. Luxury - the property and rooms are prime and the terrace - OMG. Sitting during the sunset watching Queen of hills and sipping your choice of poison- Loveable experience. Owner- He is a very professional and welcoming host. Told us a lot about nearby food attractions and how and where to get rented bikes and what not. Always a smiling face and a helpful and jovial personality. Cost effectiveness - 100/100. We went during off-season so got it at a very lower cost but even during rush timings I think it's justified. Rooms- There are two types- fully wooden and half n half. Both are good. (Please check photos posted by me for more details) Common area- The terrace and a vast sitting area. Both are impeccable. In the evening the sitting area gives the vibe of a 100 year old Darjeeling. With its billiard board and bar counter and sofa sets - such a charming and grand aura. Overall 10/10. Request to all visitors - Please keep the place as it is. It has a different vibe. We should be mature enough to enjoy it and maintain it the same way.
