Our stay at East Mall Pinewood Homestay was truly unforgettable and easily one of the highlights of our Darjeeling trip. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. We especially loved the attached private balcony, where we could sit peacefully with a cup of tea while enjoying the breathtaking mountain views. Waking up to such a beautiful view every morning made our stay even more special. The location is also excellent—close to Mall Road yet quiet enough to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere. What made this place exceptional, however, was the kindness of the host Ruben and his wife. On the very first day of our trip, we were unfortunately scammed by another hotel and were left in a very difficult situation. They welcomed us with open hearts, supported us when we needed it the most, and made us feel safe and at home. Their compassion, generosity, and genuine care turned what started as a stressful trip into a wonderful experience. Throughout our stay, they treated us like family, always checking if we were comfortable and offering helpful local recommendations with a warm smile. Hospitality like this is rare to find. If you're visiting Darjeeling, I wholeheartedly recommend East Mall Pinewood Homestay. It's more than just a place to stay—it's a place filled with warmth, comfort, stunning mountain views, and wonderful people who truly care about their guests. We will always be grateful for their kindness and can't wait to return.

We stayed at this homestay from 26th June to 29th June, and our experience was excellent. The owner, Mr.Ruben is a genuinely kind and helpful person. His behavior is warm, polite, and welcoming. Whenever we faced any issue, he did everything he could to help us and was always available whenever we needed assistance. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. If there was any problem with the room, he made sure it was resolved as quickly as possible, often on the same day. His prompt response and dedication to guests are truly appreciated. One of the highlights of this homestay is the beautiful view from the room. We visited during the monsoon, so the weather didn't allow us to enjoy the full view, but whatever we could see was absolutely beautiful and worth it. Another great advantage is its location. It is very close to the Mall (Mall Road), so reaching the Mall takes only a few minutes. Even elderly guests should have no difficulty walking to and from the Mall. Overall, I would definitely recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with a beautiful view, a convenient location, and an exceptionally caring and helpful host. We had a wonderful stay and would be happy to visit again in the future.

I had a very pleasant stay at this homestay. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I recently stayed at East Pinewood Mall Homestay and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect—very close to the Mall Road, which makes exploring the town so easy. I stayed at this property on my visit to Darjeeling. It is located on the mall road. Its location is very convenient for tourists especially elderly people who cannot walk long distances. I stayed at this homestay with my mother and its location is very safe for female travellers. The owner of the homestay, Ruben ji is very helpful and friendly. We needed help regarding local sightseeing tours and pick up and drop facilities. Ruben ji connected us with Chewang bhai who conducted those local sightseeing tours and provided pick up and drop facilities. Thanks to Ruben ji and Chewang bhai, we had a wonderful experience with the sightseeing tours. This homestay does not have food options. However, there are a lot of restaurants that are available within 5-7 mins walking distance of the homestay. Further, Ruben ji also provides a list of restaurants and local eateries that one can go to. Thank you Ruben ji for hosting us. Nice experince

I had a very comfortable stay at this homestay. The location is excellent, right in a prime area, making it easy to explore nearby places without much hassle. The homeowner was extremely welcoming and went out of his way to ensure everything was smooth and pleasant during my stay. His helpful nature really added a personal touch to the experience.

People have already mentioned everything about the stay, host, locality etc. I just want to mention a single sentence of the host - "No matter where you are, if you face any issue just share the location and I'll be there". I have never heard such words from any host. We are delighted and overwhelmed with everything. May God give Mr. Ruben and his family more strength. Note: I would love to give 6 out of 5 stars.

A bit late, but I had a phenomenal stay at East Pinewood, Darjeeling. The welcoming 'home-away-from-home' vibe and the owners' incredible positive energy made it a wonderful experience. A true hidden gem on Mall Road with top-notch hospitality—highly recommended!
