Rooms are in 1st floor are v good as per their recommendation but the lower floor rooms are not good as recomended. These were found dampish as because water was leaking some where from the backside wall. The heaters connected with the wash basin taps were not functioning properly.
The Stuff behavior we found v good and helpful, the cook was also well behaved and had good cooking skill. The place was pleasant and very calm. But the Kanchenjunga was seen from here only the top portion. Overall good.

This is a very beautiful farmstay. We stayed here at 17th & 18th July 2026. Absolutely overwhelmed & satisfied with the quality of rooms, fooding & hospitality here and the manager Mr.Raju also a very good boy
Absolutely overwhelmed and satisfied with the quality of rooms, view, food quality and hospitality received here. We stayed here for 2 nights and we had a memorable experience. Manager RAJU and staff dinesh always served us with a smile and we had a great experience overall.
The duplex rooms we stayed, are spacious, clean and with fantastic views. The farmstay itself is beautifully decorated and situated in a pleasant landscape. A great place for staycation and to experience a calm, peaceful atmosphere.
Food was tasting homely and service is also good. Although it seems a little costly, but the remote location and the good rooms and services could justify that.

The staying experience at 'Whispering Pines' Homestay was wonderful! The behavior of the staff and manager is very pleasant, the service is top-notch, and the rooms are extremely clean and neat. In short, an extraordinary experience!
Room was good. Balcony view was good.
but so expensive compared to other homestays.
Road is too bad ..there is no indication board on the way..Staffs are not responding sincerely. Faces problem on the way to find the actual place.
There is no accommodation for driver.
If it is previously known to us , I never book it... Electric connection was off and also the generator was not working .
Lunch was served late and was not good in taste.
In 900 rs food package there is no sufficient food at all. No water served in this package.
Really worse experience.
Surely not recommended.
I'll say overall it's a bit expensive than other stays near lava
Room are 1st class,if you want peace for 1-2 days the place is perfect,it is a very quiet and calm place ..
view from room is very peaceful
We have taken a package including fooding but I'll suggest don't go with that because it will be more expensive..

View from the room is amazing
I love this place . A highly recommended place. Must visit! 🌸
My wife and I had a truly memorable stay at Whispering Pines in Kalimpong.
From start to finish, the team made us feel welcomed and cared for.
A special shout out to Abhay Chettri, who drove us safely from Darjeeling. He was warm, polite, professional, and made the journey a pleasure.
We also want to thank Raju, the caretaker/ manager at Whispering Pines, who looked after us so well from meals to showing us around to helping whenever we needed. His kindness and attentiveness really stood out. And for anyone visiting , you're in great hands if you reach out to him.
Thank you Mithu di & Siddhartha da and to the whole team for making our stay so special. We can't wait to come back!

Just awesome location. Stayed on 13 n 14.7.26 nights with four friends. General cleanliness and bathroom full marks. Rooms specially first floor rooms nos 201 n 203 mind blowing . We took package food that too full marks with fish, chicken curry, fried rice, chilly chicken and ruti sabji combinations. Staff behaviour is very good. Manager Raju helped us a lot on various aspects like local tour, transport n service.
Only cons we faced too much leech in surroundings( not in property but just beyond).
This Farmstay is situated in between the pine forest, but the rooms are not maintained at all, floors are not cleaned properly, but they charge so much for foods, & water , they are literally looting people, one piece normal roti 30 rupees, they are charging 3 times more,
Okay we're paying all this but you've to give the services accordingly, there's no electricity whole night.
Worst experience. Think before you spend your money.
I never expected such a disappointing experience at Whispering Pine Farmstay in Garubathan, near Lava. The location is deep inside the forest, which sounds beautiful, but unfortunately, the property is not well maintained at all and is highly overpriced.
The food quality was average at best, and the prices were shockingly high. We have traveled to many places, including Sandakphu, Nagaland, and Meghalaya, but we have never seen food priced this excessively. People may argue that prices have increased everywhere, but even in remote places like Sandakphu, where transportation is much more difficult, we did not find food this expensive. Moreover, the quantity of food served here was also very small considering the price.
Another major issue was the lack of basic facilities. There was no generator or backup arrangement during power cuts. The room had an unpleasant smell, and the surroundings of the farmstay were not properly cleaned or maintained.
Overall, it was a very poor experience and definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-maintained stay.
