And the care taker, Mr. Kushal is a an extremely polite and good hearted person. One should learn the art of hospitality from the people of Darjeeling.

Hermitage Villa, Darjeeling : Great Place to Stay. That would be an apt review caption. Just 50 feet as a stone drops, below the Mall road and 50 meters from the Governor House, facing the Kanchenzhongha range with a direct view when it is clear, is this pleasing property presently hosting the Officers’ Holiday Home of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., the country’s premium petroleum downstream major. Darjeeling, the picturesque Queen of the Hills, dwells on a steep ridge-like hilltop. Thus, any adventure of going downhill entails climbing back up, a difficult ordeal for city people from the plains. Staying in this quiet, near-immaculately maintained premises with excellent service and hospitality as a holiday ‘home’ needs to be, you are at touching distance from the generally flat 1+ km circular Mall ‘pedestrian-only’ road. Your daily dosage of walking any time of the day till late evening is guaranteed without a sweat. Big Plus : You are always at the happening place, The Mall. If one is partly chilling out, it can be made as ‘non-happening’ as desired. Relaxing on location you will have a great sit-out space at your disposal at Hermitage Villa, decorated as it is with a variety of potted flowering plants, the daily newspaper for company, with provision of teas and snacks at all hours. The food is understatedly good, homely with sufficient variety, for guests of all ages. For many of us, Hermitage Villa it is a must-visit couple of times a year.

Hotel is situated at prime location near Chaurasta. Staff is very supportive. Food is good.

180° Kanchenjunga view amidst posh locality neighbouring, Rajbhawan, HMI, Zoo, Mayfair hotel. Natural ambience with good HK, painless services from start to end including transportation & dining. Shangrilla, Caventers, Glenrys are now refurbished. Enjoy adjoining cloudy Tinchule, Lamhatta and Mirik. Kushal and Mr Lama's team are excellent. Deserves a real 5* rating

It was an excellent vacation, most importantly we missrd a valuable ornaments during checkout and recollected about the same only after 6-7 hours, we called Mr Kushal from the villa and he immediately checked it, found it and ensured to return the same to us.... wonderful commitment and hospitality

Rooms are good. Specially room no 3 have a clear view of Kanchanjunga from bed. Close to Rajbhavan and Darjeeling Church. It is approx 800m away from Keventer's. Hotel's food are good. But, little bit overpriced. Overall nice experience about our stay.

Excellent accommodation, homely ambience, amazing view of the Mountains, Outstanding service with Kushal being very helpful and had provided all support...the food was excellent and was served promptly. A great place to visit and stay...@IndianOill Holiday Home.
