This location exceeded all my expectations! It was my first ever homestay experience, and it was absolutely lovely. I highly recommend 'The Blue Horizon Homestay' to everyone. The hosts are wonderful people—so kind, helpful, and their behavior was excellent. We felt completely at home. It’s safe, clean, and honestly, no amount of praise is enough. I will never forget this place or the experience... loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay and genuinely enjoyed every bit of the experience. On a clear day, you can see Kanchenjunga right from the property, very much like the view people rave about from Tiger Hill. Waking up to that sight itself makes the stay worth it. The host deserves a special mention. He is extremely helpful and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. He guided us throughout the city, suggested great restaurants and places to visit, and even provided a map, which made getting around very easy, especially for first-time visitors. The location is another big plus. Shared taxis are easily available nearby, so moving around the city is convenient and hassle-free. We also had meals at the homestay and absolutely loved the food, simple, tasty, and comforting. At night, the place offers a beautiful view of the city lights, and it’s a great spot if you’re interested in astrophotography. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced, and the bed heaters were a thoughtful touch, especially in the cold weather. Overall, this homestay offers great value, warm hospitality, and an authentic local experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with great views and helpful host.

Visited with family members.. it's one of the rare properties in Darjeeling with such wide view of the Himalayan range.. I'm highly impressed with the class of hygiene they maintained. The owner was personally available at roadside to guide us reach the property without single hassle. He also helped to get a space for parking my four wheeler. The home cooked meal was a cherry on top. I would highly recommend this property to everyone coming Darjeeling..

Unforgettable experience, Warmfull hospitality, owner such a great guy, such a wonderful personality. Very helpful very friendly. We are overwhelmed with his gestures. He welcome us with Buddhist scarf and complementary special Darjeeling tea. Everything is 10/10

We stayed for two nights at this lovely homestay, which offered impeccable cleanliness. The heated mattresses were a highlight, especially during the winter. The owner was incredibly attentive and helpful, providing detailed recommendations for reaching Darjeeling, directions to the property and even a map for local sightseeing. Great value for money—highly recommended for a budget-friendly stay!

Second home! Yes I can refer bluehorizon homestay my Second home not even for a single second Mr. Sammy (SIR) didn't let us feel that we met him for the first time an traditional warm welcome, lucky enough to get the taste of darjeeling from his black tea offering as a welcome drink, and literally he gives an xerox of a map to his guests to explore the darjeeling in detail, I would say if you want explore darjeeling just make plan and head towards SIR's homestay and he will give you every single way and idea to hang around darjeeling, last but not least his wife true chef if you want to explore local food just ask SIR he will definitely make the arrangements with great prize do try Maam's Thukpa And definitely with great view of KANCHENJUNGA go with bluehorizon homestay .

Stay was amazing, host Sammy is very welcoming and a nice person. Location is extremely nice, we got clear view of Mt. Kanchenjunga right from our room. Rooms were clean and tidy. Definitely recommend the homestay.

Nos hospedamos na Blue Horizon em novembro de 2024 e foi uma das melhores experiências que tivemos na viagem pela Índia. A vista da montanha, o chá, o quarto limpo, cheiroso e aconchegante da pousada, e principalmente a bondade, simpatia e disponibilidade do sr Sammy em nos receber vão ficar sempre na nossa memória! Quando voltarmos a Darjeeling ficaremos por lá novamente com certeza! Há táxis compartilhados a 5 mim de distância da pousada para chegar ao centro e Sammy ainda nos instruiu em como tomar outros táxis para ir a outros locais, o que ajudou muito na nossa visita a cidade.

A awesome and amazing experience i had in this homestay. I never felt i was away from my home because owner's hospitality and home cooked food was something lifetime cherisable. Hoping to visit this homestay only whenever i come to darjeeling ❤️
