A Truly Wonderful Farmstay Experience! Chanan Farmstay is honestly one of those places that feels like a second home. From the moment we arrived, we felt safe, cozy, and completely relaxed. The best part is the pin-drop silence and peaceful surroundings—exactly what you need when you want to disconnect from the busy city. The room wasn't very big, but it was cozy, clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, and the service was wonderful. The food was decent and felt just like simple, homely cooking. But what really made our stay special was the hospitality. The owners and his wife were extremely friendly, supportive, and helpful. Their behaviour was so warm that it genuinely felt like we'd known them for years. ❤️ The location is beautiful—there's a small monastery within walking distance, and the surrounding pine forests are absolutely stunning. There's even a beautiful stretch of pine forest and one place is there that calls mini Pahalgam—and honestly, it really does give you that feeling! And then comes the magical part... After the rain, when the sky finally cleared at night, the view was breathtaking. From the property, you can see the lights of Darjeeling, NJP and other surrounding areas glowing in the distance. It almost looked like thousands of fireflies had switched on their tiny lights across the mountains. A beautiful reminder of how magical nature can be. A few practical suggestions: Take a reserved car if possible. I personally wouldn't recommend relying on shared cars, especially because this is a kind of remote location. Be prepared for some walking if you want to explore the nearby forests and surroundings. If you need anything, it's better to let the owners know in the morning, as being in a remote area can sometimes make arranging things difficult. Mobile network can be a little weak, but don't worry about connectivity—there is fast Wi-Fi at the homestay, so you can even manage your office work comfortably. This is an honest review from my experience—I genuinely loved this place. If you're looking for a peaceful, safe, cozy, nature-filled stay away from the crowd, Chanan Farmstay is definitely a must-visit place.

The food served at the homestay was absolutely delicious—freshly prepared, full of flavor, and made with great care. Every meal felt like a home-cooked feast that reflected the love and dedication of the hosts. We were unable to stay here even after booking as the owner had grave personal problems which is quite acceptable. The alternate place provided by the farmstay owner was good and we had a pleasant stay at the place.

We just visited this place a couple of days back. The place is quite and very suitable for people who wants to relax and enjoy in their vacations. The atmosphere of the place and the vibe was cozy. The owners were very welcoming and makes you feel at home . And the food was also great I have enjoyed every meal there. A must visit place if you want to just relax and like to spend time without the noise of the cities.

A special mention to Madam (Sammy Bhaiya’s wife), who is truly a wonderful woman. She served us with so much warmth and care that it felt like being with family rather than staying at a homestay. And of course, little Edyleen stole our hearts. She is incredibly sweet and brought so much joy and positivity to our stay. Had a wonderful stay at this place. Place is perfect for warm cozy stay with beautiful scenic views. Stayed there for 3 days and it didn't feel less than a home. Owners are very helpful and their behaviour is very friendly. They have a sweet kid who made it even more enjoyable. Food was amazing. Perfect offbeat and peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle of city.
