Had a really pleasant stay here. The location is excellent, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food was also good and added to the overall experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

My first visit to Kalimpong was a memorable one, and overall we had a very pleasant stay at The Garden Courtyard. A special mention and heartfelt thank you goes to the wonderful breakfast and service team — Suhana Tamang, Sudha Darjee, Roshni Chhetri and Manisha Gurung. They made our morning particularly enjoyable with their warm hospitality. Breakfast was prepared quickly, served fresh and was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the toast, puri, tarkari and tea. However, what impressed us even more than the food was the team’s friendly, approachable and professional attitude. They always welcomed us with a smile and made us feel genuinely looked after. The dining area was clean, fresh and tidy, while the outside garden/courtyard provided a lovely and welcoming atmosphere to enjoy the morning. On behalf of my family, a big thank you to Suhana, Sudha, Roshni and Manisha for your kindness, smiles and wonderful service. You certainly helped make our first visit to Kalimpong even more memorable. 🙏😊

Exceptional hotel. A clear cut above hotels of plains. Excellent value for money. Rooms are palatial, and they have a well-maintained garden, courtyard and outdoor dining arrangement. Staff were very courteous, professional, and helpful. The in house restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Moreover, the hotel is managed by the owner himself. So, there is a personal touch, and attentiveness. And the same excellent mindset permeates through the whole staff, making the entire stay pleasant and memorable. Will stay here again.. Recommended 11/10.

My partner and I had an amazing experience staying at this property. The host of the place is super sweet and very helpful. The view from the room was also very nice. The property is located close to some of the amazing cafés in Kalimpong like the Kamlimpong cafe. I would definitely recommend this place for its beauty and for the kindness of its host and staff!!!

We had a change of plans and booked this hotel in the morning we checked in. The Property is near to the main market street and you can get cabs to it. The property itself is small but its well furnished. The rooms are spacious and clean. Some menu items were not available but apart from that the food was good. The complimentary breakfast had enough options for the price. The owner was also very warm and we will visit again

We husband & wife were stayed in this hotel from 13.6.26 to 16.6.26 for visiting Kalimpong local area & nearby Lava & Lolaygaon etc. We also took vehicle arrangements from this hotel manager. We are pleased with your package as well as your all activities. All hotel staffs are so cordially managed in all activities, that we impressed so much. Your hotel owner madam is so kind and beautiful, not only that she lastly see off with a warm short progamme like wearing uttariya, combined photos etc. We feel like home and all are our home members. However we expect Good growth & progress of all activities for business in future. Thank you & your team. God bless all of you.

The Garden Courtyard — the name sounds beautiful, but unfortunately, the reality was completely different. The pictures uploaded on their website make the rooms look spacious and well-maintained, but in reality, the rooms are very small, congested, and poorly maintained. The bathrooms had a strong, unpleasant smell, and every room felt damp and uncomfortable. We booked this hotel after reading numerous positive reviews, but after checking in, I genuinely felt that many of those reviews were not authentic because the property was nowhere close to the standards being portrayed online. Even if I ignore the room size and the foul-smelling bathrooms, I cannot overlook the behavior of the manager. His attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout our stay. On the very first day, we noticed there was no fan in the room despite the weather being extremely hot and humid. When we informed the manager, he casually told us to wait until evening because "the weather would change." Instead of addressing the issue, he expected us to spend the entire afternoon in a suffocating room. Later that night, there was a power outage. Despite having a generator on the property, the hotel staff chose not to operate it. When we called the manager to explain how uncomfortable and suffocating the situation had become, he simply said that since it was raining outside, the weather was fine and there was no need to run the generator. Imagine paying ₹4,500 per room per night and spending the night without electricity. We couldn't properly use the washroom, charge our phones, or even sleep comfortably. Electricity is not a luxury—it's a basic necessity that every guest has the right to expect. The next morning, we informed the reception that we wanted to check out because it was impossible to continue staying under such conditions. Instead of listening to our concerns, the manager became argumentative and insisted that we would have to pay for two nights. Frankly, after the experience we had, I didn't even feel the first night's charges were justified. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. The rooms are poorly maintained, basic facilities are unreliable, and guest concerns are handled with complete disregard. Our experience was stressful, disappointing, and far from what was promised.
