View can be exceptional on bright sunny days, which are rare. The Homestay is quite uncomfortable with small cramped rooms and tiny bathrooms. Hot water only in the mornings through one tap , No hot showers possible. Food limited in quality, quantity as well as choice. No warmth in the behavior of staff there. Will not recommend.

Two physically fit senior citizen couples visited this offbeat home stay for 2 nights… Location: Close to Kalimpong and well connected Views: Weather played spoil sports on both days…can’t comment View points: A small walk through kuchcha pebble road will take you to the Lamadara View Point form where you can see Teesta River Valley and may be, sun-rise and Kanchenjunga on a day with clear sky Rooms: Excellent with 2 queen sized bed and ample space around. Long continuous corridor cum balcony in 3 sides of the building gives you good 75 to 80 steps walking… Senior citizens: All rooms are in 1st & 2nd floor, have to negotiate number of steps. Owner family members to help taking heavy luggages up. No hired helping hand… Amenities inside room: In spite of so much of space, no cupboard, no hooks/hangers… nothing to keep even your toiletries inside bathroom Power supply: Very erratic and geyser is kept without power most of the days. There is no emergency power supply even for charging your mobile phones. Network signal: very poor Wi-fi: With power outages, no wi-fi. Hospitality: Excellent and family members taking personal care for ailing guests including serving meals in the room Food: They tried to accept the request and tried to serve within limited choices. Good food. Medical Emergency: The presence of male family members with their own cars, it feels assuring

PROS Large spacious rooms Very good people who runs it Good hospitality CONS THE OWNER SHOULD TAKE care of few things 1.NO HOOKS OR CUPBOARDS TO HANG CLOTHES 2,VERY POOR WIFI SERVICE 3.NOTHING IN THE BATHROOM TO KEEP TO KEEP BRUSH PASTE 4.NO TABLES IN THE VERANDAH 5.NOT A GOOD CHOICE FOR AGED PEOPLE 5.STEEP STAIRS 6.FOOD SHOULD BE SERVED IN THE VERANDAH 7.CLIMBING STEEP STAIRS MINIMUM 28 THRICE FOR FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY NONSENSE 8.PORTERS SHOULD BE THERE Was there on 24th and 25th March Would request ppl to give honest feedbacks

Arrangements were very good..Specially the homestay position and the owners are very well-behaved and warm hearted..Thank You so much for making our tour memorable Pritamda..

Nice stay at Daragaon

We stayed in this homestay in Daragaon. One of the best homestay of north bengal. Behaviour of people in this homestay is good and they were very friendly as well. The rooms are gorgeous and well decorated , neat and clean. We enjoy a lot even the food etc were very tasty and organic. We hope to stay in this homestay if we again get a chance to visit Daragaon.
