I recently stayed at The Grand Kalimpong, and it was truly one of the best experiences I've had. It's a perfect place to spend quality time with your family and loved ones. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and very budget friendly. For the price, they provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. The attached balcony was my favorite part ,I loved sitting there during sunset and waking up to the soothing chirping of birds, the fresh mountain air, and the peaceful surroundings. Everything about this place feels relaxing and refreshing. A special mention goes to the staff. They were incredibly genuine, friendly, and always ready to help. They guided us well throughout our stay and made sure we were comfortable at all times. The hotel is family run, and Uncle and Aunty were among the kindest and most welcoming hosts we've ever met. They treated us like family and made us feel completely at home. They were so warm, humble, and well-behaved that it never felt like we were staying at a hotel it felt like we were visiting our own relatives. If I ever get the chance to visit Kalimpong again, I wouldn't think twice about staying here. I would happily come back again and again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and homely stay😇

I recently stayed at The Grand Hotel and had a mixed experience. The room was clean and well-maintained, but it was much smaller than expected, making the stay a bit uncomfortable. The location also didn't live up to the expectations because the trees completely blocked the view, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the staff were extremely polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The food was excellent—every meal we had was delicious and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Unfortunately, the owner's behavior left a negative impression. While we were having our meals, he kept watching us constantly, which made us feel uncomfortable. I also witnessed him picking his nose in the dining area, which was unhygienic and unprofessional. Additionally, his personal hygiene seemed poor, as there was a noticeable body odor. Such behavior from someone representing the hotel affects the overall guest experience. Overall, the staff and food deserve appreciation, but improvements in room size, the overall experience, and especially the owner's professionalism and hygiene would make a significant difference.

I stayed in The Grand Kalimpong at the recommendation of a close friend.My booking was from 11th to 14th June 2026.I checked out after one night. The room 103 is small and atrociously coloured. There are insects all over due to the presence of trees all around. The bathroom smells strongly disinfectant. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Lighting is dull and the room always looks gloomy.There is no generator backup and when there is a power cut one cannot use the electric kettle. Food is average and everything is very basic..definitely NOT RECOMMENDED for people who enjoy premium stay.

If you ever want to listen to the music of nature , this is the place... Located amidst very calm and serene surrounding or lush green trees of different species , the place offers a spritual experience!!! You wake up to the orchetra of nature here... Beautiful birds presenting their morning music to welcome you to the great morning... The place is literally surrounded by trees... As the evening meets night , the mountain view is breathtaking ...again giving a taste of enlightenment!!! It's family owned hospitality stay and these people know what it means to welcome people in words in actions, in delicious organic food that they prepare for you, in their genuine concern to make your not every day but every hour memorable... We are here with our mother and she is so much cared here that she plans to come here every year!!! The joy is continuing as we have still almost a week of our long 10 days to go!!! The Best Stay I've Ever Had My recent stay at the Grand Homestay in Kalimpong was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was mesmerized by the incredible hospitality and the warm, welcoming behavior of everyone from the staffs to owners. It truly felt like a home away from home, with the level of personal care that you rarely find in glamourous hotels. The first thing that catches your eye is the breathtaking greenery surrounding the property. In Kalimpong's natural beauty, the homestay offers a serene escape with lush landscapes that provide a refreshing visual treat. The overall vibe is incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect spot for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. The rooms are very spacious, neat, well-ventilated, and kept very clean. I was particularly pleased with the asthetic layout of the rooms. The sitting areas are beautifully designed, offering the perfect place to relax or even work, with enjoying the view of the trees from the balcony. The rooms are good and clean very big with a stunning view, the staff manita , disha and hemant are very helpful and kind, the food and the service they give us is top-notch, if you want some alone and quality time you can simply choose this stay ,its totally worth it ,

Our stay at The Grand in Kalimpong was nothing short of magical. Waking up to the soothing sound of birds each morning felt like nature’s own alarm clock, setting the perfect tone for the day. The gentle breeze rustling through the leaves created such a peaceful and calming atmosphere—it truly felt like a retreat away from the chaos of everyday life. The rooms were warm, cozy, and extremely comfortable, making it so easy to just relax and unwind. What made the experience even more special was the incredible hospitality of the Sharma family and the staff. Their warmth, care, and attention to detail made us feel completely at home. It was a beautiful experience overall, and we would absolutely love to come back and stay here again.

Stayed at this property for two nights. Location-wise, it is quite inside, around 3 km from the main market via a narrow road so having a car, cab, or bike is necessary. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean, including the bedsheets and overall upkeep. The staff - three sweet college-going girls were extremely polite, always available, and very helpful. We had both breakfast and dinner there on both days, and the food was really good. Highly recommend their puri sabzi for breakfast, super yummy! The veg fried rice and gobi Manchurian were so good that we ordered the same dishes again the next day. Food prices are also quite decent The property has a lovely small, well-maintained garden where you can sit, enjoy your meals, and relax. There is enough parking space available. Wi-Fi worked great, and the TV was also functional. Would love to visit this place again. Anyone looking for a peaceful stay, workation, or a break from the chaos will definitely enjoy this place.

I've a wonderfull journey at Grant Kalimpong. The people are very kind and helpfull. I like the room with the large balcony ,and we can have lunch in the gatden. I recommend that place.
