Very good environment, very well behaved host. Food are also very good and homely taste. Special mention to the uncle and aunty, they are very humble and very supportive

Understaffed homestay and very unprofessional behaviour of the homestay owner. ❌ They don't clean the rooms after the previous guests leave.. here is what happened: 1) we checked in on May 16, we were two separate families and took 2 different rooms. We were promised clean rooms but it's not how we saw in the photos. The bathroom drainage was partially clogged with the previous guests HAIR. The toilet had stains. We told the owner and she replied " you are not supposed to look at the toilet like this..even if there is stains in the back portion,you sit in the front portion without looking backwards".. 🫩 she also said " the previous guests were not good that's how they clogged the drainage with their hair. Kotha kotha theke lok chole ashe".. instead to addressing the fact that the rooms were not cleaned after the previous guests, she completely blamed it on the guests. 2) we exchanged the rooms with the other people we were travelling with. There we found out that the flush doesn't works 🫩. The wash basin and bedsheets have stains..the dustbins have trash left by previous guests. We complained about it gently but the owner rather taking is professionally, took it personally like there can't be any problem with the services. She did not leave any scope for improvement/ suggestions. We asked for an extra bedsheet. The bedsheet she provided had even more stains than the previous one😭. We had no other option to leave that night because it was already 9pm. 3) We were staying in Darjeeling for only 16th and 17th so we thought however it is, let's just spend another night without thinking much. The rice that they gave us to eat on that her first night,it was not properly boiled. We still ate it anyway because it was almost 10pm and had no other option left. She made us a few rotis. But the very next day, she started behaving rudely and said us to leave because we complained about the hygiene issues on the previous night. 4) she kept saying " it's better if you find another hotel before the sun sets, I'll give you some extra time to check out." I heard I saying on the phone to someone " era 15 yrs age ekhane eshe gache,akhon sob jagay kamn service era janena." The bedsheets had stains of ink and other god knows what,and she justified it by saying every hotel gives the same kind of sheets, it's clean.. 5) She tried to justify her "not cleaning of rooms after guests left" and upon failing to do so, she humiliated us. We eventually left the homestay after this by evening, and the next hotel er booked is opposite of everything Didi said that we won't find in Darjeeling. The price is same as her homestay but the bedsheet are white, washrooms look like it's made yesterday and hospitality is good. In the SAME PRICE range. For anyone who's reading this, the rooms are not as big as seen in the photos, you'll only get humble behavior of you are not complaints about the service. Otherwise they'll ask you to leave doesn't matter what your situation is.. THIS WAS OUR EXPERIENCE here..

Awesome place for darjeeling tour. Mesmerising views of mountain and very humble and homely atmosphere and very well mannered staffs

so the vibe was just mine. it was amazing. it was a homestay so couldn't ask for just any service any time. have to inform them about the food needs before 2 hours. the behavior of the whole family is just very sweet. mam was professional and bhaiya was really helpful. loki(they have a very friendly dog) was just lovely. amenities were available. food was tasty as well. no complains. room had lil seepage marks, need repairing. but still, overall a big yes if i ever visit again

I am Debasish Adhikary from Guwahati , Assam & i was travelled in Darjeeling with my wife and my 16 month daughter and my Friend's family and his child in Baskutir Homestay. I have neven seen such tyres of Excellent behaviour of owner. owner Husband and wife both cooking delicious , tasty and healthy food for us & For my child they cooked- hot milk , khiciri, simple dal vaat whatever i want like my home. That day we eaten more & more in dinner thay cooked 2 times rice. we are amazed the way they taking care of us & arranging vehicles and all . If you are going with family with child , friends , you should stay Baskutir Homestay. you will be pleased i guaranty.

It was like a home , prithvi sir and his family is very helpful and they treat you like their family ,we also get great kanchanjunga view from terrace and its mesmerizing,this is truly the best homestay in Darjeeling,it's so near from dali monestry,the food you get here is delicious and healthy ,the mam is very sweet and she cooks very delicious meals,if you visit Darjeeling this is the best place you can get ♥️,ps. They have a extremely cute dog named loki ,don't forget to pat him!

The homestay is quite impressive and conveniently located near several popular attractions, including Dali Monastery, the Japanese Peace Pagoda, Mall Road, and Ghum Monastery. The staff are exceptionally kind and courteous, and they went out of their way to assist us in arranging a tour guide, which greatly simplified our travel plans. The food served here was delightful and evoked the comforting taste of home. They also have a lovely dog named "Loki" who is "low-key" very cute🥰 and charming and added a special warmth to our stay. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money, and I would be delighted to visit again in the future.

The Most Beautiful stay you can find in the whole darjeeling area and the owners doesn't treat us like customers but as their own extended family members also they are very Welcoming,caring,and go the extra mile to help us,Inshort Golden hearted persons. The behaviour of the owner is very humble. View of kanchanjunga available from the rooftop. Location is superb. You can enjoy the view of kanchenjunga , toy train and monastery at a same point.
