Rambler's Nesting Homestay

Our family of four had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ramblers Nesting Homestay in Darjeeling. We stayed for two days during the early monsoon season and were fortunate to experience one of the most comfortable and memorable homestay experiences we have ever had. We stayed in the spacious family room on the topmost floor, which was spotlessly clean and exceptionally comfortable. The highlight of the room was undoubtedly the breathtaking panoramic view of Darjeeling from the balcony. Despite the monsoon clouds, we were lucky enough to witness a magical glimpse of the majestic Kanchenjunga peak for a few minutes—a sight made even more special as clouds drifted across the mountains like heavy curtains. What truly sets this homestay apart is the warmth and hospitality of the host family. They are thoughtful, well-mannered, and genuinely know how to make guests feel at home. It was lovely interacting with their sons as well, and we enjoyed many pleasant conversations during our stay. A special mention goes to Savita Aunty, who made our experience unforgettable. On the very first day, despite having to attend an event elsewhere in Darjeeling, she quickly prepared a delicious lunch for us. Her cooking is simply lip-smacking. In fact, my parents enjoyed her meals so much that they never felt the need to eat anywhere else during our stay. The location is about a 100-meter uphill walk from the main road. While the climb may not suit everyone—my father preferred staying back and enjoying the stunning view from the balcony—it is precisely this elevated location that rewards guests with some of the finest views of Darjeeling. The dining area is equally beautiful, cozy, and offers the same mesmerizing mountain views. While my sister and I explored nearby attractions like Penang Restaurant, (with excellent recommendations from Savita Aunty), keventers and mall road my parents were perfectly content soaking in the scenery from the homestay itself. She gave me a special gift of Darjeeling tea which is a remarkable gesture I would always hold a memory of. If you choose to stay at Ramblers Nesting Homestay, you are bound to enjoy not just a room, but a warm home away from home. Highly recommended for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking for authentic Darjeeling hospitality with spectacular views.

Very beautiful experience staying in the Rembler's Nesting Homestay. Like home away from home. The owner, Pradhan uncle and aunty both are very friendly. The view from balcony makes you sit for hours and get the chance to visualise the Kanchanjunga range from balcony as well as from room. Wish to visit again.

I stayed at the property with my friend and his family over a long weekend in May. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. They even arranged a vehicle for our visit, and also provided us with an extra mattress on request. The property was clean and well-maintained. And the best part was the home-cooked food that we enjoyed during our stay, and the care and love they showed for our kids. Absolutely loved their hospitality! Thank you for making our visit to Darjeeling a memorable one! We'd definitely like to visit again!

The homestay rooms, food was good..but the owner's.. (The man) basic discipline (how to talk to the guests was not expected)..your business runs on the people's..you should learn how to make people's staying comfortable..

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay, hosted by extremely warm and welcoming people. The location is excellent, offering a direct view of Kanchenjunga right from the room window. The rooms are well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, making the overall experience truly enjoyable.

Very good experience with Rambler's nesting Homestay. The owner is very co operative and soft spoken. He arranged the taxi for us when we requested. The rooms are also clean and neat. It has very good views of Darjeeling but we could not see the view of mount kanchenjunga due to heavy fog. The food that they served was very tasty. The only negative point is the approach road . It's situated on a hill and big vehicles like Innova don't come till the entrance due to steep slope and bad condition of the road. Though the staff helped us to carry almost all the luggage if you have senior citizens who find it difficult to climb the stairs, it' not the place for you. Overall a good place for the stay.

The best homestay we stayed uptill date. The view is heavenly, uncle and aunty the owners are so family like. Uncle despite being the secretary of St. Paul’s in Darjeeling is so down to earth. The food cooked by aunty and the service by the staff is just a replica of your home. Would recommend not only one but many visits to this place. Missing it and very much eager to visit it next time hopefully very soon❤️

Lovely place and silent and view is breathtaking at the sametime near to Mall with sounds of occasional toy train chugging. Host is very nice helpful and service and food is also good. Overall a good homestay

I would highly recommend this homestay. Owner is very helpful and food was awesome. Also we had food poisoning and owner provided us the medicine.
