We had a pleasant stay at Duka Valley Homestay in May '26. Having visited three years ago, we were excited to return because of the breathtaking valley views. Unfortunately, the main highlight—the outdoor seating area overlooking the entire valley—has been built over with a new room, completely blocking the view from the property. You now have to stand on the side road to catch a glimpse of the scenery that used to b accessible right from the stay. The Good: *The owner and staff are warm, welcoming, and helpful. * The larger rooms are spacious and comfortable. * Parking is available down the road or along the roadside. *Friendly local dogs roam around the property. #Things to Keep in Mind: *Rooms:The two small cottage-style rooms feel quite claustrophobic, so stick to the bigger rooms if possible. *Food: The meals are simple and fill your appetite,but nothing extraordinary. *Roads & Access: The approach road to the homestay is in very bad shape. Strong warning:Do not attempt the drive down to the river site—that road is in pathetic condition. Overall, it's still a decent place with great hospitality, but losing that iconic view directly from the seating area was a huge disappointment.
