Old heritage property with amazing location and parking space.

I love it and hate it.. I mean location wise it's good. The staffs are courteous and cooperative. Food is limited. The main problem is the rooms. It's old, like pretty old, the infrastructure is old, amenities old. I've stayed in lot of WBTDCL properties, this has to be the worst in terms of amenities and maintenance. The wooden floorboards make creeping noise while walking, the chairs are old, the balconies are not cleaned, the bathrooms need immediate renovation and modernization. The view is exceptional though on a clear day from the garden.

View from the property was good. We got a standard double bedded room which was damp with dim lights but was spacious to add an extra cot. The room had an attached bathroom and a balcony.

Stayed with family of 3. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor. Excellent view of Kanchenjunga mountain from the room. Also the peace pagoda was visible from the other window. Rooms were very specious with all the amenities. Great location...next to Darjeeling gymkhana. Best option in budget with complimentary breakfast. Staff were very polite and prompt service. Food service was satisfactory and reasonable. Just 2-3 min walking from mall, chowrasta. Taxi can drop you at the hotel doorstep with your luggage. The only drawback is the condition of the room. Could have been better, taken care off.

Definitely very good place.Staff is helpful and polite .Service is good.Why I have given 4 is i feel the place needs maintenance. Basin cracked.Pipe broken so for 8 hrs no water.More attention should be given to the infrastructure

Darjeeling Tourism Property is a great place to stay because of its excellent location near the Mall, which makes it very convenient for exploring the town. The view from the property is absolutely amazing, especially the beautiful mountain scenery, which makes the stay even more memorable. The facilities are good and the overall atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. The rooms are a bit old-style, but they are still decent, and the prime location, great view, and good facilities easily make up for it. Overall, it’s a very enjoyable stay and definitely worth recommending in Darjeeling

I recently stayed at the Darjeeling Tourist Lodge (also known as the WBTDCL Meghbalika Tourism Property), and it is a property with immense potential, defined by its unparalleled location. The Highlights: The absolute crown jewel of this lodge is its positioning. Situated just a short walk away from the heart of the Darjeeling Mall, it balances central accessibility with a peaceful, sprawling environment. If you get lucky with clear weather, the view of the Kanchenjunga range (the "Sleeping Buddha") directly from the lodge's front lawn and premium rooms is absolutely breathtaking. The rooms—especially the large suites—are incredibly spacious, offering a grand, old-world charm that modern budget hotels simply lack. The staff is cooperative, and the on-site bar and attached off-shop add a nice touch of convenience for evening relaxation. Areas for Improvement: Because it is a government-managed property, it suffers significantly from a lack of upkeep. The building maintenance is subpar; you might notice damp walls, dated fixtures, or minor issues with the geysers and linens. The in-house kitchen serves decent Indian food, but the overall culinary quality and service speed could definitely be elevated. Final Verdict: If your priority is a perfect location, sprawling spaces, and unmatched mountain views without breaking the bank, this is arguably one of the best spots in town. However, if you expect luxury, immaculate cleanliness, or prompt modern room service, you might want to look elsewhere. Pack warm clothes, choose a view-facing room, and you will have a memorable stay!

Rooms are excellent. But, the should have food items for diabetic patients. There curry (Sabji) with breakfast Luchi (Puri) was only Alu (potato). They must give an option for the diabetic patients.

This is one of the best Kanchenjunga view point hotel at Darjeeling.

During our trip to Darjeeling trip we stayed in this property for 02 days with an overall excellent stay. Rooms are very spacious with hill facing sitting balcony. Room heater, flask, Kettle complimentary b/fast, mineral water, dental & saving kit, tea/coffee milk, sugar, every essential were there. Very close proximity to Mall. Rates never fluctuate in any season. Senior citizen, solo and some patients get 10% instant discount. Canteen serves food very delicious and as per choice. Overall staff/management behavior are really appreciable. Location close around the city. If I again visit Darjeeling, this property must be my 1st priority. Renovation still going on for more amenities. Thanks to WBTDCL
