You have a group of 8-12 persons and want to spend a couple of days together, then this is the perfect place to do so with 4 cottages and 2 deluxe rooms.
The locale is excellent with view of Teesta from the property and on a lucky day, the view of Kanchenjungha.
The staff are excellent, attentive and always ready to help. So are the hosts, Deepsahana, Karan and his mother. They, with their warm demeanour adds a comforting factor to your stay.
All the cottages offer great views and balconies. Cottage C-4 has a bathtub.
A great place to unwind yourself.
Two things to note - the place like most hill properties is not wheel chair friendly and you have to a little bit of fitness to navigate the place. Also, there is no air conditioning in the cottages as they rely on nature.
The only good thing about Windsongs is the vibe and the views. I won't lie, the property has an awesome vibe and the views are absolutely insane, especially in the morning. If you're going just for Instagram pictures and to see the hype, you'll get it.
But apart from that, everything is very average. For the price they charge, you get a very average room which isn't well maintained or cleaned properly. It feels like they are only running on the hype. And the rules are too much. They have way too many restrictions - like you can't do this, you can't do that, food will only be served in one particular area lol, and the owners are always complaining about noise.
The worst part is you can't come back late at night as they won't open the main doors. Which is very inconvenient if you're out exploring Kalimpong. Honestly, I would only suggest going there for the hype and nothing else, or else you can completely skip it. There are much better options in Kalimpong for the same price.
Very fantastic
It's a beautiful property located on the road, just before you enter Kalimpong. This place is a nursery with diverse varieties of cactus collection and many other plants. All the cottages are located amidst the nursery with tastefully done landscaping. The hosts Mr. Karan Pradan and his mother, are very cordial yet professional. They have a team of efficient staff. The entire property is located on the slop/steps of the hill. You can see Teesta river (for sure) and Kanchenjunga range (if lucky) from your room. The entire team is very punctual, and they expect the guests to cooperate.
We stayed in cottege C2 that has a standard queen bed and another single bed in the sitting area. The room can accommodate 3 adults (+ 1 child). They arranged the dining in the balcony of the cottage for dinner & breakfast. It was an amazing experience to sit in the quiet and enjoy quality time. Their service was very prompt, and the food was very tasty.
Excellent location for the view of the mountain range and the river , calm and serene place
Best place to stay in Kalimpong. Period.
Perched in the mountains, Windsongs offer the picturesque Teesta valley view as well as Kanchenjungha in the other side. Host Karan, his wife and mother were very warm hosts, they were attentive, very polite and took great care of us. It is also a beautiful place for senior citizens to just go and relax and enjoy the view and good food in the resort. The food was fresh home made, videos offering authentic nepali cuisines too. The momos were tasty.
Sound of Silence
The views from the cottage and the sitting area will take your heart away..the place will slow you down..will make you introspect...will make you talk with your soul...astounding wide angle views of the Himalayas with snowcapped peaks, undulating mountains, clouds beneath you inbthe mornings and the meandering Teesta river visible during the day...a picture postcard of a place .. extremely warm hosts..home made delicious food..fresh air..clear blue skies...very comfortable beds in cottage with blanket warmers...gives you a cosy feel.... will fill your senses to the brim....
Far away from the madding crowd do visit Windsongs Kalimpong if you want fresh air, lots of sunshine, cosy cottage rooms, excellent home made food, warm hosts always ready to share their thoughts with you, a friendly dog for company, chirping birds to greet you in the morning, forest below you, cascading mountains, Teesta river below, flowers blooming around you and the mighty snow capped Kanchenjunga peaks visible in front of you, changing colours ever so often... will make you come back to this place..
Its a fantastic private destination, its a home stay.
Fantastic place with heavenly views, but bit costly.
This time when we visited Kalingpong, the said place was closed, but I find a new construction of 3 to 4 storied building coming up.
We stayed in the cottage which had absolutely amazing views and delightful sitting areas in the garden . The owners were really friendly and helpful. Their garden is beautiful and the cottage was spotlessly clean. Great views even from the shower. The restaurant service was also excellent with lots of choice . They arranged a taxi driver to take us to all the places we wanted to go to. Selim the taxi driver was also really helpful and knowledgable and managed to get us into places that were closed. I would highly recommend the Karen’s and their home stay … it’s got to be the nicest place to stay in Kalimpong
This is a beautiful place to stay with stunning views even from the shower. We stayed in the cottage in the grounds which was lovely with a choice of indoor and outdoor sitting areas. The hosts were super helpful and the restaurant offers a good selection of meals which can be served to you outside in the beautiful garden. Everywhere in Kalimpong is a long way, too far to walk but the hosts organised a taxi with a really knowledgeable local driver Selim who took us to all the places we wanted to go and gained us access to some places that were closed . The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable
Our stay in Windsongs, homestay was a mesmeraizing experience.Nestled amidst lush green plants and a spectacular variety of colourful flowers, the property felt like a serene escape. The air was fresh and calm, and every corner offered a charming view filled with natural beauty.
The food was an absolute highlight — sumptuous and presented with elegance. Each meal felt crafted with care, reflecting both quality and creativity. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the mind-blowing hospitality of the proprietor and the well-mannered staff, who were always attentive yet noticeable, making us feel at home from the very first moment.
Every detail — from the warm welcome to the thoughtful service — contributed to a joyful and memorable stay. This homestay is a perfect blend of nature’s splendour, culinary excellence, and unmatched hospitality, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone romantic, seeking peace, comfort, and genuine care during their travels.

Returning from Windsongs Homestay after 4 day's stay.I must recommend this property for romantic, peace loving people, for those who have a poetic mind and aesthetic sense, who has a thirst for beauty fraught with subtlety and above all has a craving for spending some peaceful days amidst nature. They have an exceptional cook. The food they serve, the way they serve delicious dishes, the care and hospitality of the proprieter, the behaviour of the staff-- all are outstanding and highly impressive. I appreciate the gesture of the host as she cooked some dishes herself for us.Nowhere did I get such hospitality.Wish to give ten star but here is provision for only five.😄

From 28th September evening myself and my wife both senior citizens are staying here. On the eve of my departure I am writing this review.
I thought and thought hard but couldn't find fault on a single score of this homestay. The owner Mr Karan, his wife, mother, and his band of dedicated staff all join hands to offer the best of services and to maintain this beautiful, aesthetically pleasing property.
I wish them the very best. Health permitting I will surely revisit this property to enjoy their hospitality.
Wow nice place I well come next year
Beautiful place ,behaviour ,good human around you and always ready to help and they doing by heart
Overall, it was a great experience. Although the weather wasn’t ideal, the property itself was beautiful, offering stunning views of both the mountains and the river.
Very beautiful experience. Cozy ,comfortable , luxurious property.
Food was testy , humble staff behaviour.
I recently enjoyed a stay at a beautiful homestay known for its incredible mountain views. From the moment I arrived, the setting took my breath away—majestic peaks framed the property, creating a serene and picturesque escape from city life.
Every staff member I encountered was warm, attentive, and welcoming.
Requests were handled swiftly, and the attention to detail made the experience feel personalized and memorable.
The dining options exceeded expectations, featuring a mix of local and international dishes.
Every meal was expertly prepared—from breakfast to dinners—with flavors that stood out for their freshness.
Recommended.
