Sinclairs Retreat Kalimpong

Had a wonderful stay at Sinclair's Kalimpong! The hospitality was excellent, and all the staff were incredibly kind, courteous, and welcoming. A special thanks to Vijay at the front desk for his outstanding assistance and friendly service. He truly made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Our second time in this hotel and we had an amazing time with our kids. It brought us back here especially because of the architecture, greenery and beautiful flowers blooming all around the premises which added peace within our mind and soul during our stay. Also, I would like to mention the names of the staffs of the Hotel, Mr. Biru Limboo (Biren) and Ms. Ankita who made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Sinclairs truly made our weekend worthwhile. The ambiance and location were absolutely top-notch, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. A special thanks to Mr. Bijay for assisting us with our booking. His kindness, professionalism, and prompt responses made our check-in process smooth and hassle-free. This is an excellent place that genuinely values its guests. The warm hospitality and attention to detail made our stay even more memorable. We look forward to visiting again and would highly recommend Sinclairs to anyone looking for a wonderful experience.

We'd a nice stay there. Food quality is good. Bar is nice as well

Restaurant staff was pathetic. Food was average. Most of the items in menu were not available. Location is good and rooms were good. Hospitality staff who take care of rooms are good.

Property is good only for their guest.... But no any service for driver.... They are charging 500/ and fooding extra.. What is this.... If a driver have to pay 700/ bug per night to stay in his tour package how much driver get their fooding charge... So to all driver of slg please book ur tour package carefully in this property of kalimpong.. If driver have to pay 700/bug for one night ..... With out driver support Sinclair can't grow... Up.....

Off beat, approach road tad bad, but once u arrive , u tend to give away all those mishaps Great property, value for money, great service, Food though not upto the mark Still great place to spend ur holidays in kalimpong

Our stay at Sinclairs Kalimpong was truly wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every way.We stayed in a Premium Room, which was spacious, comfortable, and offered a beautiful garden view. Every corner of the room and the property was spotlessly clean and well maintained.The food deserves special appreciation. From breakfast to dinner, every meal was mouthwatering and delicious. The quality, taste, and variety made dining a delightful experience throughout our stay. What made our trip truly memorable, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. I would especially like to mention Mr. Bijay from the Reception Desk. Without his help, this trip would not have happened. At a time when I was about to cancel my booking, he patiently listened to my concerns and helped me reschedule my stay. His calmness, empathy, and professionalism during a very stressful situation were remarkable. Words fall short of describing how much his kindness meant to us, especially considering he had never even met us before.A special thanks also to Mr. Birun Subba from Housekeeping. From the moment we arrived, he was always ready to assist us with our luggage, room arrangements, and the additional belongings that come with travelling with a one-year-old baby. His helpful and caring nature made our stay much more comfortable.Lastly, I would like to thank Ms. Ankita Chetri. She was an absolute blessing during our stay. Every day at the restaurant, she would lovingly help us by engaging with our baby so that we could enjoy our meals peacefully. Her warmth and kindness made us feel truly cared for. The location and views were exactly what we were looking for in this holiday—peaceful, refreshing, and beautiful. Experiences like these are created by people who genuinely care about their guests, and Sinclairs Kalimpong is fortunate to have such dedicated staff members. We are already looking forward to visiting again very soon.

Beautiful hotel ,I was surprised for the all services which is top class. Mr. Sunil Acharya housekeeping manager and his team were superb. Food was good ,we tried Thakali local dish which very good. Thank you all for excellent service.

During my session, the staff member attending to me was continuously using her mobile phone throughout the service. Since my head was positioned downward for most of the treatment, she appeared to assume that her behavior would go unnoticed. This was highly unprofessional and negatively affected the overall quality of the service. What was even more disappointing was that after I brought this issue to her attention, the quality of the service still did not improve and remained below the expected standard. As a customer, I expect the staff to be attentive and focused on providing a professional experience. I expect a professional service when paying for a treatment, and this experience fell far below acceptable standards. I request that this matter be investigated and appropriate action be taken to ensure that such behavior is not repeated with other customers.

Our stay at Sinclairs Retreat Kalimpong was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is stunningly beautiful, with breathtaking views that make you want to spend all your time just admiring the surroundings. The rooms are spacious, neat, clean, and very comfortable. The food was excellent—delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. Even when ordering room service, the food arrived quickly, which was truly appreciated. The staff members were polite, courteous, and always ready to help with a smile. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. The entire property is very well maintained and offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Honestly, the hotel itself is such a beautiful destination that even if you visit Kalimpong only to stay here, your trip will be worthwhile. A must-stay property in Kalimpong. Highly recommended, and we would love to visit again!

Excellent property to spend a day or two in middle of a jungle/semi forrest area in a uphill. It is not proper kalimpong but a few kilometres before one reaches the city area. Hence the place is peaceful, away from city crowd and smoke. Staff behaviour is excellent and they are always ready to serve with a smile. Room service is prompt. They served us complementary chocolates every evening. Best part is they serve ro drinking water in glass bottles both in rooms and restaurants, which is highly eco friendly and economical. This initiative is Highly appreciated. This is one of the few properties of Kalimpong with proper gated car parking lot.

This is a beautiful resort located at some distance from Kalimpong town. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well maintained. The resort is full of beautiful flowers, tall green trees, birds chirping and beautiful mountain views from the rooms. However, unfortunately when I stayed (March 2026), the resort was rented out to huge corporate groups, with the restaurant being heavily crowded by these groups, they doing team building activities in the open lawn, and playing loud sound systems in the conference rooms, and in general the space being heavily crowded. This was totally spoiling the calm, serene atmosphere which the other guests had come to enjoy by paying a hefty amount as room price. Either Sinclairs should not allow these corporate team buildings in their hotels or they should not take bookings for normal guests during this time. Only because of this issue could not rate a 5 star to Sinclairs.

It was a wonderful experience at Kalimpong especially staying at the Sinclairs Retreat. The rooms were breathable and open. Our room was on the ground floor which the balcony opening into the garden and park. The walls however, seemed crumbly as though subjected to dampness. The most special feature was the fireplace which was very mandatory on the winter days. The location was at the outskirts of the city. Peaceful and free from the internal pollution of the city. The service was also commendable. Overall it was a great open resort with lots of amenities.

Heaven on Earth with beautiful greenery all around. The cleanliness of the property is absolutely top notch and every corner is maintained perfectly. The hotel has many activities and playing areas for kids, which our daughters enjoyed a lot throughout the stay.|One of the most unique experiences was the beautiful garden inside the hotel. They have peach and pear trees, and we were lucky to taste fresh peaches directly from the garden — very delicious and unforgettable. The property also has very good sitting areas where guests can relax peacefully while enjoying the scenic surroundings.|The housekeeping service was truly exceptional and of the highest standards. Our room was cleaned twice daily — once during the daytime and again in the evening with freshening up service along with sweets placed in the room, which made us feel very special. We really appreciate the hardworking housekeeping team members Sardha, Tara, Kabita, Nisha, Srijana, Soneya, Suraj, and Mikma for their excellent service and warm hospitality. Special thanks to the charming and professional manager Mr. Sunil Acharya for taking such good care of the guests. Kudos to the entire team for making our stay memorable.|Only two small areas need improvement — the hotel approach road requires repair work, and sometimes the WiFi connection was not stable. Apart from that, everything was excellent. We had a wonderful and peaceful stay and would definitely love to visit again.
