Felt like home from the moment we arrived We were looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in Takdah and Takdah Villa exceeded expectations. The villa itself is cozy, clean and perfectly maintained – exactly what you need after a day of exploring the hills. But the real highlight was the hospitality. The hosts are incredibly kind and caring. They made sure we had everything we needed without making us feel like guests. That homely behavior, the warm conversations over tea – that’s what made our stay memorable. If you want a comfortable stay with a personal touch in Takdah, this is the place.Highly recommend if u want a stress free gateway in Takdah....Will definitely come back....

The Villa is just wonderful, with its three sibling managers and Bhuku( pet dog) ...They are so good and so helpful...Their warm welcome won our heart...Stayed there only two days, enjoyed tasty foods and amazing nature's beauty along with a homely feeling in the mountains... The rooms are well maintained so as the washroom... Hope to visit them again in near future... Stay happy and stay safe ❤️

Wonderful experience. First time homestay. Hospitality with broad smile of three siblings Bandana, Bhumika and Pradeep are of worth mention. Culinary items were well chosen and enjoyed very much. Plan to visit again in near future.

The days we spent at Takdah Villa, feels like we are at home. Their hospitality, refreshments was awesome. The homestay's location is outstanding. The rooms have a very fantastic view of the hills. Waking up with the mountain and sleeping with the beautiful night scenery of it filled our hearts.

A real gem hidden in nature of Takdah Cantonment. Bandana, Pradeep and Bhumika are three siblings along with their retired father started this awesome place post Covid time and with their sincerity, warmth, emotion and professionalism they made it a home for strangers going thete to enjoy the natural beauty of Takdah. The ever-smiling siblings make you their best pal in a moment with their warmth and coziness. Bandana, the elder one, is a pro in cooking homemade food. A homemaker herself loves to pour her heart into cooking food for anyone visiting their place. Pradeep, an amazing storyteller would quietly share the history of Takdah Cantonment with a shy smile on his face. Bhumika, the youngest of three, is the go to Momo person for you there. She is a known person in her village, a chirpy homemaker and yet having the strongest character amongst the siblings. It is worth staying there for the amazing view of sunrise from your bed itself, the scrumptious food they offer at a meager rate, the absolutely awesome hosts they are and a neat and clean room they offer at a reasonable price, if you are visiting Takdah Cantonment. Also, the active fireplace in the room on a chilly night seemed to be straight out of pages of a romantic book. We genuinely felt like leaving a part of our heart there while coming back home. It is definitely worth every penny you spend staying at Takdah villa and more.

Staying at Takdah Villa Home Stay felt less like a stay and more like coming home. From the moment we arrived, Pradeep Da, Bandana Di, and Bhumika Di welcomed us with such warmth and genuine care that they no longer felt like hosts—they felt like family. Pradeep Da is incredibly polite, always available, and ever ready to help with a smile. Bandana Di’s food deserves a special mention—every meal was cooked with love and tasted absolutely amazing. And the snacks prepared by Bhumika Di were simply delicious, perfect companions for long conversations and cold evenings. The homestay itself is magical. The fireplace adds a cozy charm, and the wall-to-wall windows are a dream. Waking up in bed and watching the sunrise over the endless hill ranges right in front of your eyes is an experience beyond words. This place touched our hearts. We came here as guests, but we’re leaving with memories, warmth, and people we now truly consider our own. An amazing experience with even more amazing people. Great stay in Takdah villa with host Bhumika di and pradip dada...take almost care from every aspect..it's feels like home..and also great view from every room ..food and location was awesome 👍

This homestay has picturesque view from room.Rooms were so neat and ckean and large enough. Seeing the sunrise seating beside of large glass,window was a treat for eye. Food quality was good enough and the type of warm reception we received from host, speciallu from Bhumika Mukhiya madam was really amazing. Would like to visit again in future.

Had one wonderful week with my whole family at Takdah Villa . Experienced great hospitality, enjoyed freshly cooked tasty food , beautiful sunrise straight from my room which was nicely maintained by the owners . Returned home with good memories of our visit to Takda , Darjeeling and Tinchuley.

⭐ IMPORTANT POINTS FOR TUKDAH VILLA 1. If you want a quiet, absolutely homely stay with a breathtaking view — THIS is your place. 2. If you’re serious about photography — THIS is your place. The views are a dream. 3. If you’re a large group planning multiple rooms with loud music or party vibes — THIS is NOT your place. It’s meant for peace, not parties. 4. It’s best to book your cab from NJP/Bagdogra through Pramod ji, whose family runs the homestay. He can arrange Wagon R / Innova at very reasonable rates. 5. Bhumika, Bandana and Pradeep di take care of guests like their own family. Their warmth reminded me of what a true homestay really means. 6. Hills make you hungry — or maybe the food here is just that good! I’ve never touched veg momos in my life, but here I finished them in 10 minutes. Must-try: Barbecue Chicken. 7. Ask Pramod ji for local sightseeing. He took us to amazing offbeat spots we would’ve never discovered on our own. 8. Don’t miss strolling around Takdah market for a slice of real local life. 9. And yes — Buku! My morning walk companion, unofficial guide, and complete sweetheart. 10. The view — photos simply can’t do justice. You need to stand there and feel it. Hours go by just staring at the valley with soft music or a good book. Is this the best homestay in Takdah? I can’t say for sure. But I can say this — it gave me one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve had in a long time.

One of the best homestay experiences till now. Truly overwhelmed by the hospitality. Thanks Bhumika di and team for making us feel like own family. Spacious rooms with amazing view, fireplace, delicious food, barbecue chicken and bonfire, mesmerizing sunrise view from the room itself, overall it was such an experience that can not be described in words. Lot of places to explore nearby like Takdah monastery, orchid garden, peshok tea garden etc. Will be back soon for sure in Takdah villa ❤️

Amazing service, the rooms had an exquisite view. The homeowners were extremely bubbly and sweet people. Overall, our entire experience was replete with enjoyment. Really loved it.
