"Most guests found the rooms and toilets very clean, cozy, and well-maintained, highlighting the beautifully arranged balconies. However, a couple of reviews complained about poor maintenance and dirty bathrooms."
"There is no direct mention of hot water reliability, supply, or plumbing in the reviews, other than one general complaint about a pathetic bathroom."
"The hosts, Mr. Bijay Rai and his family, receive overwhelming praise for their warm, humble, and caring hospitality. Most guests loved the delicious, fresh, home-cooked meals made with organic vegetables from their garden, though a few reviews criticized the food quality and variety."
"Guests noted that the road conditions can be quite bad and pathetic, especially for two-wheelers, though accessibility has improved recently. Hiring a local driver is recommended."

We recently visited Kirati Khim Homestay with my family, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Honestly, it never felt like we were staying in a homestay it felt more like our own home. The rooms and toilets were very clean, the food was absolutely delicious, and the people there were incredibly warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, we could stay for only one day. We actually wanted to extend our stay, but the homestay was already booked for the following days, so we had to move to another place.I would highly recommend everyone visiting Tabakoshi to stay here at least once. The prices are very reasonable, and they also arrange bonfires and barbeques, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a memorable stay for us 🙏🏼

We recently stayed for one day at Tabakoshi Kirati Khim Homestay. As there were no other guests that day, we had the entire homestay to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. We booked a river-view room, which was spacious and very clean. The balcony was beautifully arranged with a dining table, along with separate sofa and chairs, creating a very relaxing space. The food was decent and satisfying. The owner was very helpful and caring—since the road condition was quite bad and we were traveling by scooty, he kept calling us to check on our safety. The soothing sound of the river made the whole day feel peaceful and refreshing. Overall, we had a really lovely time there.

We spent three wonderful days from 23rd to 25th October at Kirati Khim Homestay in Tabakoshi, and the experience was nothing short of heartwarming. It truly felt like visiting a second home nestled amid serene mountains and lush tea gardens. Our hosts, the Rai family, took care of us with genuine warmth and hospitality. The rooms were cozy, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities including a balcony perfect for soaking in nature’s beauty and unwinding. We were served fresh, home-cooked meals made from vegetables grown right in their garden, healthy, wholesome, and absolutely delicious! Mrs. Rai also makes homemade pickles (aachar) from fruits and vegetables she cultivates herself, a delightful treat you can even take home. Despite visiting shortly after the recent flood, we faced no difficulties at all. Everything was perfectly arranged, and the environment was peaceful and rejuvenating. We left with our hearts full and memories we’ll cherish for a long time. A big thank you to Kirati Khim Homestay for giving us such an unforgettable experience in Tabakoshi!

I stayed in Kirati Homestay with my family from October 23 to 25, 2025. The host, Mr. Bijay Rayee and his family were very welcoming. Their family has a rich tradition of serving the Indian military through generations. The room was nice and the food was awesome: freshly cooked with organically grown vegetables. Accessibility after the recent flood has greatly enhanced. However a local driver from Tabakoshi is recommended. Overall it was a very refreshing stay with a warm and friendly host.
