​We had a wonderful experience at this homestay. The warm hospitality and clean, comfortable rooms made us feel right at home. The local food was delicious, and the hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. ​Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and authentic getaway!

Stayed here with my partner on 2 March,2026. for 1 night and had a wonderful experience. The homestay is peaceful with a beautiful Kanchenjunga view, clean rooms, and very kind hosts. Perfect place for couples looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

Had a wonderful experience staying at Dara Homestay Charkhole .. very friendly host .. simple yet very tasty food .. the hostess tried to serve everything with a smile .. fantastic ambience .. stayed in the first floor room and enjoyed the stay .. to the hilt .. yeah ..

The homestay itself was decent — good food, clean rooms, and a nice view. Unfortunately, none of that matters when the owner is dishonest and unprofessional. Despite a confirmed booking (2 months ago), the owner double-booked the property and forced us to check out before check out date giving little discount, creating a highly stressful situation. We were traveling with senior citizens, and this caused them a pathetic and extremely uncomfortable experience. There was no proper handling, no accountability, and no concern for guests’ inconvenience. What should have been a peaceful stay turned into unnecessary chaos due to the owner’s actions. I would not recommend this place unless you want to risk your stay being disrupted despite a confirmed booking. Beware of such cheaters thanks.

Very simple rooms. Amazing view. The owner is amazing and very very friendly. The food she cooks is very light and homely. Very good place for friends, couple and family. Best part, my dogs enjoyed too.

✨ My first solo trip to North Bengal ✨ I still don’t know why I never explored this part of Bengal earlier. One random day, I started planning and researching, and that’s when a friend suggested this hidden gem — Dara Homestay in Charkhole village, Kalimpong. Honestly, I was a little unsure at first, but Shamik da guided me throughout the journey. When I finally reached, it was pouring heavily, yet Chomit didi greeted me with a warm bowl of Maggi and tea — pure bliss! ☕🍜 The homely food, the serene silence, and that magnificent Kanchenjunga view from the balcony — I genuinely can’t decide what I loved the most. It was the perfect escape from city chaos, and I’d go back in a heartbeat. 🌿🏔️💚

Awesome place

We stayed here for 1 night with elderly person (age above 60) and small child (2.5 years). Location is really very good. Situated at the top of the hill though one can reach upto the homestay by car. Hospitality of the owner and his wife was really great. They are very very good person. They are always there to help you. Food was also very good. They have only 3 rooms which can comfortably accommodate 9 people. All necessary amenities including Wi-Fi and gyeser is available. It's not a professional type and so-called homestay. It's literally a "home-stay". Please visit and stay here and help the family to survive with ease and grow further.

The view from this homestay is breathtaking, hospitality is excellent, stay is very comfort nd excellent view of Mt. kanchenjunga is visible from the balcony.

This homestay has truly captured my heart. I'd love to come back here again and again – it never feels like a repeat. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, and their service is top-notch. Everything about this place is just perfect!
