Nice and beautiful
Checked in on 29th March, checked out on 31st March. The environment, food, overall hospitality was excellent. The homestay owner and all others took care of us just like family members. The pet dogs became our friends and we enjoyed spending time with them, particularly my son enjoyed the company of the dogs. Will visit again whenever we get opportunity and I recommend all to visit this home away from home.
Takdah is famous for its colonial-era heritage bunglows, originally built between 1905 and 1915 for British officers. Today, these Bunglow serve as unique homestays. Takdah Heritage Bungalow no. 16 is one of them. The distance of Takdah Heritage Bungalow no. 16 from NJP approximately 60-65km and taken 2.5 to 3hr by car. This Heritage Bungalow no. 16 provide good food. If you are a dog lover then definitely came here. Overall very good place to stay one or two day in this Bunglow.
♥️
Amazing Hospitality and amazing place. We will surely visit again and explore the area. Much better than other bigger cities like darjeeling , kalimpong where its a bit crowded and commercial.
It is a beautiful homestay !!

A family that makes you feel like a "home", far from your home. Will surely visit again and with complete family.
Sad to depart after 2 days, next time will keep a long journey, just for this stay.
We stayed for a couple of nights in January and it was home away from home. Sangmu and her family treated us like family members . The stay was short and sweet. Enjoyed the personal touch of the family members , tasty food, the tantrums of the dogs, the evening fire in the lawn and Sangmu’s brilliant singing. The bonus was the evening safari to Gumbadara and Lamahatta. Sangmu’s mom gave us homemade pickle to enjoy back home which was so sweet of her. Hope to come back in future for a longer stay.
We had recently been to this property, we were awestruck by the hospitality and the property. We enjoyed and cherished every moment of our stay here....wish to comeback again soon. We stayed here like family, food and the people and the warmth with which they entertained us was over whelming .... keep it up guys ...

A beautiful colonial heritage property owned and managed by Sangmu and her family! If you're lucky enough, you'll meet Pepper, Kuro, Hope, Ace, Eleanor and Panda! ❤️
