This require massive maintenance. No water reservoir, water is not available most of the time. This is a major problem, otherwise location is great. Service is okay, but needs improvement.

It's an amazing village in Darjeeling.. An ascent of wild life style at hill station.. No proper network connection will connect you with the nature specially at night ... Try to visit during winter its gives you add-on felling of nightstay in wild forest.... Kala pani is nearby sacred water reserver wild animals might come for consume it...nearby Dhupi forest towards kalapani is best place of photography...

A Picture-Perfect Himalayan Getaway – Chatakpur Nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, Chatakpur is a picture-perfect village just 26 km from Darjeeling. Surrounded by towering pine forests wrapped in thick moss, the place feels timeless and untouched. The village is home to only about 25 families, most of whom run charming homestays. A scenic trail winds through the forest towards Kala Pokhri or Kala Pathar, a sacred black stone worshipped by locals as a form of Lord Shiva. The raw, wild aroma of nature accompanies you throughout. Chatakpur also served as the backdrop for the web series "Pornoshabarir Shaap" written by Shouvik Chakraborty, parts of which were shot right here in the village. We stayed at the Chimol Cottage of WBFDC Eco Resort — the very location used for filming the series. The spooky vibes at night were quite the experience! 😄 📶 WiFi is available here, though signal strength can vary. 🍱 Food charges are Rs. 700 per person per day, covering all four meals. A hidden gem for nature lovers, writers, and seekers of quiet adventure!

Partha Bhadra
A beautiful and serene place to stay. Food is okay. Kalipokhri lake is only a 15 mins walk from here amidst the mysterious pine forest. Majestic panoramic view of Sleeping Buddha peaks is watchable from the entrance of the resort on a clear day. Only 4 cottages are there.
