Shree Niwas Homestay

We had a really nice three-day stay at Shree Niwas during our trip to Darjeeling in June. What made our stay special was the warmth and personal attention we received. Our host Vivek was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He arranged cabs for us whenever we needed them, made sure we were comfortable, and even took the time to show us around Darjeeling. He also accompanied us on a day tour, which we really appreciated—it made exploring the place much more enjoyable and relaxed. The home cook food was really good too, and whenever we wanted something specific, they were happy to prepare it for us. What we appreciated most was the personal touch and the effort he put into making sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable trip. It was lovely having someone who knew the area and was genuinely willing to help whenever we needed it. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We really enjoyed our time in Darjeeling and would be happy to recommend Shree Niwas to others looking for a warm and hospitable place to stay.

Clean , hygienic, comfortable homestay. The food was awesome. The perfect example of homestay. If the weather was clear we could have seen the mountains.

We stayed at Shree Niwas Homestay for 4 days and it was very memorable one.Our room had a spectacular view of Mt.Kunchenjunga,infact it was such a clear view that it would not be possible in many view points also.Mr Vivek and his whole staff is so nice and friendly,and took care of our every needs.Each and every Home cooked meal was super delicious,we ate momos,thukpa,aloo paratha,sandwiches,poori sabji and every item was prepared super fresh..As we didn't booked cab beforehand Mr.Vivek arranged us with cab for sightseeing and even bargained for us as per our request..He also helped us with all the shortcut routes when we went out for strolling to Mall road and nearby things.If you are looking for perfect homestay with feeling of family then Shree Niwas Homestay is the best. You won't feel that you came as a guest you will feel like you are meeting your own family.

Perfect place for Family. The homestay actually feels like home and the owner is most kind. The location is also perfect, close enough to the main market ( a mere 10 min walk), but distant enough, away from the Chaos, to enjoy the calm environment. Food is homely and is made fresh as per request. The hospitality is top notch. The rooms are very clean with potential views of Kanchenjunga. Would visit again. PS. There is also a small library room for leisure reading. Loved it. Thanks.

The best homestay with the most gracious host Vivek Sir , and the staff is so warm and welcoming.Vivek sir truly made our stay comfortable The food is so good and is fresh and home cooked ( don't eat anywhere else best food is here guys , especially the thali and momos) The rooms are so cute,clean and well maintained ( there's wifi too) Vivek Sir truly made our stay pleasant , helped us with the itenary , even gave us a tour of the mall road and the little chitchats he has during the dinner time made our stay memorable I'll remember darjeeling because of the people ! First of all, the property is located at an amazing spot, with both Mall Road and Chowrasta just a 15-minute walk away. The owner (host) is truly a gentleman. We recently stayed here for 2 days, and the experience was wonderful from the very beginning. We arrived around 11:30 PM on the first day, and the owner was still awake, waiting to welcome us warmly. He even kept the food warm for us, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Since the temperature was quite low, he provided us with extra blankets without us even having to ask. The food service was excellent — everything was freshly prepared and tasted like authentic home-cooked food. The momos were definitely the highlight of the stay. If you want authentic Darjeeling-style momos, I would highly recommend trying them here — you won’t regret it. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I would definitely recommend this place for families, friends, as well as couples.

It was our 2nd stay at the Shree Niwas and it was again a great stay ! The team is very friendly and helpful, the place is very beautiful, with a nice decoration, confortable and very well-maintained. It is also very well located in Darjeeling and the food is excellent ! If you stop in Darjeeling, the Shree Niwas is definitively an excellent choice !

Me and my sister had an exceptional stay here at shree niwas homestay with well managed, clean rooms as well as serene views. We didn't have solid plans so the owner told us about all the places we could visit as well as became our guide for the evening and walked us through town, explaining the history and speciality of spots. He is the heart of this homestay, truly reliable, kind and welcoming. All of our additional needs were attended by him as well as the lovely staff who made us feel right at home. The location is at a walking distance from the main area and the food here is made with fresh local ingredients as per your request. Taxi and parking services are also provided.

We stayed here for only one night and even with limited time, we had a excellent experience. The rooms were clean, spacious and with attached bathrooms and the room service was great. they even provided us with essentials like iron, umbrella and even a sim card. The owner is exceptionally kind ( he's a pookie ) and does everything to ensure your comfort and provides you with directions as well as information about local must visit spots and the other staff are also welcoming. Food is cooked with fresh ingredients as per your needs. The location is also from a walking distance from mall road and they can arrange a taxi for you as per your need.

Had a lovely cosy stay with quiet ambience…wonderful home cooked meal…though it’s a little walk from chowrasta but an interesting one with little eateries along the way …
