Had a wonderful stay at this lovely homestay. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The host was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Everything was as described, and we felt right at home throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. We’d be happy to visit again!

বেশ অনেকদিন পর আবার পাহাড়ে গেলাম। মাত্র চার পাঁচ দিনের প্ল্যানে চলে গেলাম গুমবাদাড়া, এটি কালিম্পং এর সুন্দর একটা গ্রাম। লাভা থেকে দূরত্ব 10 কিমি আর কালিম্পং থেকে 36 কিমি। লোলেগাও পার্ক থেকে 15 কিমি। আর যদি আলিপুরদুয়ার থেকে যাই ভায়া গরুবাথান তাহলে প্রায় 190 কিমি। এই গুমবাদাড়া(Gumbadara) তেই রয়েছে সুন্দর এই হোমস্টে The Pride Homestay. গাড়ি রিজার্ভ না করে নিজেই চালিয়ে গেলাম রাখি পূর্ণিমার দিন(28-08-26)। যাওয়ার সময় অর্ধেক রাস্তায় হঠাৎ ঠিক হলো বাগরাকোট লুপ ব্রিজ দেখে যাবো! সেই মতো সোজা চলে গেলাম লুপ ব্রিজ দেখতে। সত্যিই দারুন লাগলো। তবে অনেক কটা লুপ ব্রিজ রয়েছে, এটা জানা ছিল না! সব থেকে উপরে যেটা সেটার থেকে ভিউ অসাধারণ। আর আগষ্ট মাসের মেঘলা আকাশে সত্যিই অসাধারণ লাগছিল। তবে গরুবাথান হয়ে লাভার রাস্তা যতটা ভালো বাগরাকোট হয়ে রাস্তা ততটা ভালো নয়। বেশ কিছু জায়গায় রাস্তাই নেই, কাটা পাথরের উপর দিয়ে গাড়ি নিয়ে যেতে হচ্ছে। তবে রাস্তা বেশ চওড়া। সকাল 10.30টায় আলিপুরদুয়ার থেকে বেরিয়ে হোমস্টে যখন পৌছালাম তখন বিকেল 4.30টা! মাঝে মালবাজারে লাঞ্চ করে নিয়েছিলাম। হোমস্টেতে আগে থেকেই বলা ছিল যে লাঞ্চ পরের দিন করবো। হোমস্টের লোকেশন সত্যিই ভালো। পাহাড়ে ধাপ কেটে বানানো। পুরো হোমস্টে তিনটে অংশে। উপরে কিছু কটেজ, মাঝে ডাইনিং রুম আর একটা রুম এবং নিচে দুটো কটেজ। গাড়ি পার্ক করার যথেষ্ট জায়গা রয়েছে। এখানে রয়েছে বেশ সুন্দর একটা সুইং এর ব্যবস্থা, পোশাক ও ভাড়া পাওয়া যায়। সন্ধ্যায় চলে আসলো লাল চা আর ভেজ পকোড়া । এর কিছুক্ষণ পর দিয়ে গেলো চিকেন বার্বিকিউ। পূর্ণিমার চাঁদের আলোয় অসাধারণ লাগছিল হোমস্টের সামনেটা। দূরের পাহাড়ে দেখা যাচ্ছিল কালিম্পং শহরের আলো। এরপর ডিনারে দিলো ডাল, চিকেন কষা, স্যালাড, রুটি। তবে চাইলে ভাত খেতেও পারেন। রুম গুলোতে একটা বড় বেড এবং একটা ছোট বেড আছে, তিনজন অনায়াসে থাকা যাবে। বাথরুম পরিষ্কার। পরদিন সকালে উঠে চা এবং ম্যাগি খেয়ে নিলাম। কাছেই রয়েছে গুমবাদারা মনেস্ট্রি। হোমস্টে থেকে প্রায় এক কিমি। মনেস্ট্রিটা খুব সুন্দর। সামনেটা সুন্দর সাজানো। সেখান থেকে ঘুরে এসে ব্রেকফাস্টে খেলাম আলুর পরোটা , রায়তা, চা। এরপর আমরা বেরিয়ে পড়লাম নকদারা লেকের উদ্দেশ্যে। হোমস্টে থেকে দূরত্ব 5 কিমি। কিন্তু রাস্তা যথেষ্ট খাঁড়া এবং বেশ কিছুটা রাস্তা একদম খারাপ। অভিজ্ঞ ড্রাইভার ছাড়া লেকের রাস্তায় নিজে চালিয়ে যাওয়া উচিত নয়। নকদারা লেক অসাধারণ সাজানো গোছানো। এখানে এন্ট্রি ফি 20 টাকা এবং বোটিং 70টাকা। কিন্তু ওখানে পৌঁছানো মাত্র প্রচন্ড বৃষ্টি শুরু হলো। অনেকক্ষণ অপেক্ষা করেও বৃষ্টি না থামায় বোটিং করা হলো না। তবে পরিবেশটা খুব সুন্দর উপভোগ করলাম। লেকে প্রচুর মাছ রয়েছে। এরপর হোমস্টে ফিরে এলাম 12.30 নাগাদ। তারপর ডিম কারি, আলুভাজা, সব্জি, ডাল দিয়ে লাঞ্চ সেরে নিলাম। এরপর বেরিয়ে পড়লাম লাভা মনেস্ট্রির উদ্দেশ্যে। রাস্তায় লাভা ভিউ পয়েন্টে কাটালাম কিছুটা সময়। কিন্তু বৃষ্টি থাকায় লাভা মনেস্ট্রি ঢুকলাম না। তাই বাড়ির উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দিলাম। এই হলো দুদিনের ছোট্ট ট্যুর! ✅ এখান থেকে কাছাকাছি দর্শনীয় স্থান: 1. নকদারা লেক 2. গুমবাদারা মনেস্ট্রি 3. লোলেগাও পার্ক 4. ডাবলিং ভিউ পয়েন্ট 5. জেরং ভিউ পয়েন্ট 6. লাভা মনেস্ট্রি 7. লাভা ভিউ পয়েন্ট ইত্যাদি

We have stayed here recently...it was an amazing experience...we reach there at 3.30 p.m...they served lunch 'then and then' with unexpected quality and quantity.... Swing was very interesting.....after reaching kolkata we noticed one dress was there i.e without taking the dress we left the homestay... But after informing them they send the dress via speed post....thank you so much Pallavi Mam....if anyone want to stay at Kalimpong, without any hesitation go ahead.... Had a wonderful stay at this homestay! The behaviour and hospitality were absolutely top notch — everyone was extremely warm and welcoming. The view from the property was breathtaking, the rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the ambience was calm, cozy, and beautiful. Overall, we were completely satisfied with the experience. Just a small suggestion for improvement would be the food taste, which could be a little better. Apart from that, everything was amazing! Definately Recommend!!❤️
