I just came from the property, after spending three nights.Though most of the people remarks ware very positive. In my view it's really exaggerated and over biased .
In One ward i should describe that every thing is so so nothing like any spectacular.as per the region or location it's over priced not value for money. Their a la karta food menu pricing is more than a 3 star hotel.
A peaceful getaway, with aesthetic and spacious rooms and mesmerizing view. ❤️
The hospitality was lovely and the food was organic, from the farm, delicious and served hot on the table.❤️
Our stay in Miknaon Farm Stay was wonderful ! The property is situated in a cozy little village overlooking a vast green valley away from all hustle bustle of towns, exactly what we were looking for ! The morning walks through spiraling roads and quiet green forest overlooking a part of the Mt Kangchenjunga was a treat to the soul.
We were four members with a kid and an elderly person. Our room was spacious, clean and subtly decorated with wild plants. The host and her crew were extremely warm and always vigilant about our comfort. I connected with the farm stay owner Jangu over our mutual love for animals and got to know how she is trying to change the mindsets of local villagers to take care of their household animals with love and care.
Our two days three nights stay in the Farm stay was a memorable one. Looking forward to go back there sometime in future.
Staying at Miknaon Farmstay was a truly soul-soothing experience that felt like a genuine home away from home. Jangu Maam's warm hospitality and the breathtaking 360-degree views of the Himalayas made us feel instantly at peace. Every meal was a highlight, featuring fresh, organic ingredients picked straight from the farm's garden. The property is beautifully maintained, with charming flower gardens and a peaceful fish pond and very friendly doggos that add to its rustic magic. It is the perfect sanctuary for anyone looking to disconnect from the chaos and reconnect with nature. This hidden gem in Kashyone Village is an absolute must-visit for a relaxing mountain getaway.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Soul-Refreshing Stay Amidst Nature
My stay at Miknaon Farmstay was nothing short of exceptional.
The room was excellent—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained, perfectly blending comfort with nature. What truly stood out was the food: fresh, organic vegetables and fruits, many grown right on the farm. Every meal tasted pure, wholesome, and deeply satisfying.
The hospitality deserves special mention. Host Janghu Lepcha, along with the cook and entire staff, made us feel genuinely welcome with their warmth, care, and simplicity. Their kindness adds a beautiful human touch to the stay.
The surroundings are breathtaking—crisp, clean mountain air, lush greenery, farms, jungle, and rolling hills all around. Waking up to birdsong, misty mountains, and endless green views is an experience that stays with you long after you leave.
If you’re looking for peace, nature, authentic local food, and heartfelt hospitality, Miknaon Farmstay is a gem in Pedong. A place to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature.
Highly recommended. 🌿🏔️✨
Great rooms. Food was great. Hospitality superb. Location is 20mins away from the Pedong town but that's where you get the best stays at a farm.
Go for a staycation and the unfiltered experience of a farmstay in the hills.
One of the best fram stay in pedong.
The place is wonderful for anyone who is looking for an absolute quite experience in the lap of nature, but also want nice, comfortable stay. The quality of food is also very high. Absolutely, love the place. Soak in the sun, laze around, read, eat, walk around, take a village walk to the view point, sleep. It is in middle of nowhere so visitors must be mindful about it and not expect city services.
Amazing stunning best host ever excellent hospitality with comfortable rooms and great views from the balcony and the food is fantastic
Avoid Miknaon Farm Stay – Unsafe and Unwelcoming Experience
I rarely write negative reviews, but travelers deserve to know the truth about Miknaon Farm Stay. Our experience was deeply disappointing and unsettling.
• No Basic Amenities: Despite the listing’s promises, we were not provided even the most basic facilities like fans. This made our stay extremely uncomfortable, especially given the weather conditions.
• Hostile Behavior: The host, Lepcha, was shockingly rude and dismissive. When we raised concerns about the lack of hospitality and requested to cut our trip short, she escalated the situation by threatening to call locals on us — an act that felt intimidating and completely uncalled for.
• Safety Concerns: Feeling unsafe and unwelcome, we had no choice but to leave the property late at night. No traveler should ever be put in such a position.
This was not just poor service — it was a breach of trust and basic decency. I strongly urge others to reconsider before booking this place. There are far better and safer options that respect guests and provide the comfort and courtesy one expects while traveling.
Great experience, even though there was a major storm that shutdown most of the surroundings in October 2025
Great ambience, the team goes out of its way to assure safety, comfort and interest of visitors
Highly recommended for treks, hikes, birding and family staycations.
My worst experience ever.
I booked this place for 4nights, with my elderly mother for some quiet time. Because there has been a death in the family recently. So we wanted some quiet as a family.
In the name of eco tourism , they charge premium rates but they do not give the basic services. It was literally hot during this time and we were sweating, but they didn't have fans or provision for a stand fan. Only two fans which was already occupied by another guests. There were a celebrity couple beside our room, whom we had a good time with. But the staff there gave preference to the celebrities. They were given the stand fan as well. Just because they will get some popularity giving them good service. Jangu Lepcha, one of the owners is rude, and when I decided to check out , she started misbehaving and also was defensive when I was politely giving feedback. Jangu Lepcha in Instagram reel of Miknaon Farmstay falsely marketed that they have high speed wifi. But when I asked for wifi for my meeting, they provided me a 2G service. I couldn't even give a normal presentation to my clients. To that also she defended. She expected us to compromise after paying a premium price for each room. There is hardly any electricity.
Also, no net in balcony or window, so we couldnt even keep the balcony doors open for air. So kt was sweaty with no fan and insects from the surroundings.
I wasted more than 16k in this place. Plus more 8k to reach there for cab services.
I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Very bad!!
It’s a lovely place amidst greenery on the edge of a hill , offering a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain range . On a clear day one can watch the snow peaks as well. The visitors can have a glimpse of the Lepcha lives inhabiting around it. The Owner, Ms. Lepcha would be happy to let you feel the Lepcha way of life , including a 200 yr old Lepcha home. An ideal place to sit in the balcony , having sips of Darjeeling tea and finish the books brought along . The food too is very good and made to order. |Certainly, a place to come back from, with happy memories. .
Service/ food/rooms are above expectations...very warm hospitality...with excellent views...more over the behavior of the owner and her stuff will make you feel at home
Beautiful location. Great hospitality.
I recently stayed at Miknaon Farmstay, located in Kashone, Khasmahal (West Bengal), and it was truly a refreshing experience. The ambience, the peace, the calmness, and the surrounding greenery created the perfect environment to disconnect from city life and reconnect with nature. Every moment spent there felt serene and fulfilling.
The perfect getaway in the mountains. Our host Jangu curated special bird watching sessions, nature walks and authentic local meals. Would highly recommend going here.
Amazing place, awesome food! The host and the entire team, including the chef, are very friendly. A must-visit for nature lovers. And the rates are very affordable."
The local food and hospitality was Amazing, we did not stay, but we will come back. I have quite a few allergies but was very well looked after. The rooms are so gracefully furnished and very inviting. The surrounding natural environment was breathtaking. Thanks Jen and your entire team
