Rayenas Homestay

We stayed here for five days with three family members.Property owner is very helpful and cooperative. We reached darjeeling in some late by availing toy train from NJP. He was in close contact over mobile since reaching homestay also send details of car driver for smooth reaching from Darjeeling rail station to home stay. He guided in every need for tour/ travel,food, marketing etc. Room, bedding and bathroom was cleaned. One double bed and one single bed was provided to us. Double bed was specious enough but the single bed was quite narrow, however we managed it in compromise manner. Car driver/ owner Sailesh Rai was very helpful,he arranged for another car when he was unable to provide his own car. Even he was in close contact during our return journey till return home. Another car driver/ owner Manoj subba was also very helpful person. In conclusion our Thanks to owner of RAYENS HOME STAY, Car owner/ driver Sailesh Rai and Manoj Subba for their good behaviour.

Nice stay with a good view. Helpful host who guided us well. Slightly difficult access due to steep slope, but close to the Mall.

Could witness the majestic view of Kanchanjunga through the balcony. Food was very good and Sunil sir was very friendly and enthusiastic person. The location of the hotel was good and near the mall. Room was clean and geyser was available everytime without restriction.

A group of ten of us went to Darjeeling and stayed at here.The rooms and bathrooms were very clean felt like it was using our own bed and bathroom never feel it was homestay.The owner's behavior is also very good and polite♥️♥️,,,, I would tell everyone to definitely come here once and enjoy Darjeeling.

This is our 2nd time stay at this beautiful homestay at darjeeling near mall , first was in 2019 & now in 2025 , specially the location & view of kanchanjangha 360 degree view you can enjoy from this homestay , maximum 5 to 7 minutes walking distance from mall , home like atmosphere & the owner is very gentleman, price is also in your budget, foods are cooked like home as per pre order & it's delicious, specially mr. Sunil Pradhan ( the owner) was always helpful to us in every way , we have decided that in future when we will be in darjeeling we will be here for stay .

I stayed at this homestay for 3 days and 3 nights, and it was honestly one of the most peaceful and refreshing experiences I’ve ever had. The place is surrounded by beautiful scenery — every morning I woke up to a breathtaking view that instantly lifted my mood. Whether it was watching the sunrise with a cup of tea or sitting outside the room at night under the stars, the atmosphere was just perfect. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They treated me more like a family member than a guest — always checking if I was comfortable or needed anything. Their behavior was genuinely good, very polite and caring throughout my stay. The food was absolutely delicious — all homemade, fresh, and served with so much love. Every meal had a special local touch, and I could really taste the effort and warmth they put into cooking. The rooms were neat and clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The entire homestay had a calm, homely vibe that made me feel relaxed and safe. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with good food, great people, and a view that you’ll never forget. It’s the kind of stay that makes you want to come back again! 🌄✨

The reception and care we got from Sunilji had been the USP of Rayenas. To add with, the view of Kanchenzanga from top floor spices up excitement. I wish Sunilji all the best for his future so that he continues to be a favourite for tourists.

Before booking promised to provide scooty parking but there was no parking at all. Very congested place. Almost 1 km from the Mall road. Charges 300 rupees extra for parking at a nearby shop. Behaviour of the owner is so bad.

Best for family trip. If you are visiting darjeeling for the 1st time and with elderly parents, this stay is best. The caretaker of the property is very helpful not only in terms to provide safe and cozy stay but helped us to manage our travel and cab booking.

Rooms are fine at a reasonable price. Fooding is also homely. Common sitting place has a nice view of the mountains. The owner is very friendly and helpful in all ways.
