We stayed at this homestay on October 15, 2025. Their behavior and food were excellent. We enjoyed our 4-day trip very much and returned home with beautiful memories.

The location is excellent—just about 30 meters from Lava Monastery—making it perfect for sightseeing. If you’re arriving by shared car or rented vehicle, reaching the homestay is easy. However, if you’re coming with your own car or bike during busy hours, parking can be a bit tricky as only roadside parking is available. We stayed in a spacious 4-person room with two queen-size beds. The mattresses were comfortable, and the pillow covers, bed linens, and winter blankets were all fresh and clean. The room itself was beautifully decorated, giving it a cozy, welcoming feel. The bathroom was spotless, with a functional geyser for hot showers, and the staff also provided hot drinking water, which was much appreciated in the chilly weather. The view from our room was truly special—peaceful and scenic, making it the highlight of our stay. While the food was average in taste and variety, it was adequate and fresh. Overall, Hill View Homestay is a wonderful choice if you’re looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a great location in Lava. We would happily recommend it to friends and fellow travelers.

Overall, our room at this stay was pretty good. I'd say it was fairly large, and we were quite comfortable there. The bathroom was fine, too. However, we did run into some odd issues with the electricity. The switches were really confusing. The geyser in the bathroom also gave us trouble. It worked fine on the first day, but on the second day, it just wouldn't give hot water even after turning it on. That was quite puzzling. Putting those issues aside, this hotel is in a strategically great spot. We had a full view of the mountains from our room, and it was truly worth it. The location is definitely a highlight! They do offer food options if you want them. While it was a bit on the pricier side, the food was actually quite good and tasted very much like a homemade meal, so I don't have much complaints there.

The homestay has very clean and large rooms with wonderful views. The food was awesome. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The stay was very nice, most of all the staff was very friendly and the cooking was very nice. Apart from this the rooms were very beautiful, clean and hygienic . Thank You Dada !!

This homestay is situated just beside the Lava monastery..food was not that good...room condition was not that good..bathroom condition was so poor that the flash water came out from the commode..even the basin water came out from the pipe inside the bathroom as there is no provision for outlet.

It was a nice experience here. Very pleasant and friendly behaviour. We enjoyed a lot here, and hope to visit very soon again.
