Excellent home stay at the top of the hills

If you are looking for a place where the world slows down and the mountains speak, this homestay is a rare find. Perched right at the crest of the hills, it offers an escape that feels both secluded and soul-stirring.The vibe is incredibly peaceful. Away from the honking of tourist hubs, the only sounds you’ll hear are the rustling of prayer flags and the distant chirping of mountain birds. The air is crisp, thin, and remarkably fresh.Like the best homestays, the service feels like staying with an old friend. The hosts provide a warm, "home-away-from-home" feeling, complete with steaming mugs of local tea and authentic, home-cooked organic meals. Pro Tip: Wake up at 5:00 AM. Even if it’s chilly, the sight of the first light hitting the Kanchenjunga massif is something you will remember for a lifetime.

Such a good homestay, Food is very good, their service is also good. All rooms are having Kanchenjungha view and awesome location.

Rooms are spacious. But bed is too hard. Toilet is with Geyser and works well. Overall a accomodation in this remote location is good. Hospitality is good. Food quality and quantity is quite good at this price. Nice view of Mt.kanchanjungha from this place.

We visited in December 2025. Wonderful location. The road towards the view point is just beside the homestay. The mighty Kanchenjunga range is clearly visible from the courtyard and partially visible from room. We got the room at the top. The condition of the room was average but clean.Gyeser works when electricity is available. From afternoon electricity goes of but basic light is available as they have inverter. Charging plugs don't work with inverter. In December afternoon and night was very chilly.They provided hot water for drinking and hand washing after dinner. Food is ok. Don't expect any luxury. Overall we had a very good stay at Prem homestay.

আমরা সেপ্টেম্বর এ গেছিলাম,ওখানে একটুও ভালো লাগেনি ,খুব খারাপ ব্যবহার পেয়েছি, একটি কম বয়সী ছেলে আছে ,আর একজন বয়স্ক মহিলা আছে , এরা দুজনেই আমাদের সাথেই খারাপ ব্যবহার করেছে ,শুধু এটাই না,৬ মাস আগে যখন বুকিং করি তখন ১০০০/ টাকা দিয়ে বুক করার কথা বলি ,ওরা বলে হবেনা ,৩০০০/ টাকা দিয়ে বুকিং করতে হবে ,তাই করি,বলি রুমের ফটো দিতে ,তখন বলে না ,এখানে ফটো দেয়ার নিয়ম নেই ,শুনে অবাক লাগছিল,যখন গেলাম তখন গিয়ে দেখি উপরের দিকের প্রথম রুম টা দিয়েছে ,যেটা একটা বাথরুম এর সমান ,আমরা তিনজন গেছি লাম ,একজনের সাথেই আর একজনের ধাক্কা লাগছে ,এতটাই খুপরি ঘর ছিল ,রুম খালি ছিল একটা তিনজনের ,ওটা দিতে বললাম ,তখন ও ভীষন ই খারাপ ব্যবহার করেছে ,রুম এর কম্বল ,বেডশিট সব নোংরা ,গন্ধ ছিল,বাথরুম তো ট্রেন এর বাথরুমের মতো এতটাই ছোট ছিল যে কমোড এ আমাদের জামাকাপড় লেগে যাচ্ছিল ,জঘন্য হোমস্টে এটা ,রিনঝি নামে ছেলের ব্যবহার খুব ই খারাপ ,ওরা অতিথি দের সাথেই কি ভাবে ব্যবহার করতে হয় জানেনা ,অথচ এই আমাদের জন্য এ ওদের রোজগার চলে । চটকপুর একদিন সকালে গিয়ে সারাদিন ঘুরে আবার বিকেলে ফিরে আসা ভালো ,এই হোমেস্ট তে একদম ই গিয়ে টাকা নষ্ট করবেন না ,খুব খারাপ এটা ,আমাদের খুব ই বাজে অভিজ্ঞতা হয়েছে ,আমরা ওদের খারাপ ব্যবহার এর প্রতিবাদ করেছিলাম,তার জন্য ওই ছেলেটি আমাদের বলে অন্য কোথাও চলে যেতে ,আমরাও তখনই চলে আসি ।এতটাই খারাপ ছিল। গেস্ট গেলে এক কাপ চা বা এক গ্লাস জল দেয়,সেটাও এরা জানেনা ,আমি এখানে যেতে বলব না কাউকে ।

Place is beautiful. It's the place in nature's lap. It's under forest department. But the road is too dangerous & difficult. The home stay is very good. Nice people & their behavior also very nice. Rooms are clean. All facilities are available. Nice stay. Food is also good & tasty.

Very bad homestay.. I don't recommend anyone to live there...very bad washroom condition...geasar was also not working in the washroom also blankets were very smelly tol and also the blanket was not of good quality...very bad condition of the homestay. Food was also not good.
