Very good behaviour of everyone

Everyone here is so nice. The rooms are very nice. You can see a beautiful view from the home stay. Especially Pratibha Didi's behavior is very nice. Lots of help. Everyone can come once. It would be very nice Come.

I honestly never thought I would have to write a negative review, and this is actually my first negative review on Google. But this experience was extremely disappointing, especially because this was my first girls’ trip with my sisters, and we had really been looking forward to it. The room initially given to us was in a terrible condition. During the rain, water started leaking from the roof and the entire room became wet. To make matters worse, getting from our room to the dining area meant literally walking through almost knee-deep water. The room honestly felt more suitable for staff accommodation during the monsoon rather than for paying guests. The bathroom lock was broken as well, and the overall maintenance was far below what one would expect. We paid ₹1,600 per person, which I feel is far too high for this kind of stay and basic facilities. Another major issue was the lack of proper time management. When travelling in the hills, guests generally plan their day around a certain schedule, but we had to wait until around 11 PM for dinner, which was extremely inconvenient. After showing videos of the room & complaints, our room was eventually changed. However, even the curtains in the new room were visibly very dirty. I appreciate that they did try to help us at the last moment, but the fact that it took so much trouble to get basic accommodation in the first place was extremely disappointing. My genuine question to the management is: if you already know that there is heavy monsoon rainfall in Kalimpong and that the property may not be properly maintained during this season, why accept bookings without ensuring that the rooms are actually suitable for guests? I am a solo backpacker and can usually manage with very basic conditions. I don't expect luxury. But expecting a proper roof, a functional bathroom, clean rooms and reasonable meal timings is hardly an unreasonable expectation when you are paying for a homestay. This is not camping. Location-wise, the property is good enough. However, based on my experience, I would not recommend this homestay at all. The biggest issue for me was the overall mismanagement and the lack of attention given to our basic requirements. The other guests seemed to have much better rooms, while we were initially given a room in such poor condition. Since there were three girls travelling together, I sincerely hope our concerns were not taken lightly because of that. In fact, the situation should have been taken even more seriously. They did make an effort to help us eventually, and I acknowledge that. But overall, this stay was an utter disappointment and one of the worst homestay experiences I have had so far.

Service was excellent, and the food was delicious. There were some issues with water and electricity, possibly due to the rainy season. Other than that, the atmosphere was wonderful, and we had a great experience overall.

Such a nice and peacful farmstay! Tushar daa being so polite and well behaved with the guests. Even rooms weren't available but they managed one for us. Thank you Himalayan Hideway , would like to visit again ❤️
