A very good experience as an accommodation! Received simple food of good quality. Recommended as a stay during autumn rather than monsoon. Overall, an enjoyable stay!

Worst experience of staying in any homestay. Pathetic service. Rooms were not well maintained. Bathroom floor was water logged. No cleaning. No ambience. They even didn't provide towels for all 5 of us even after repeated telling the staff. Water was only provided after requesting 8-10 times for all 5 of us. Not at all recommended. If you want to stay in any Homestay in lolegaon please choose other Homestay so that your stay experience is not worsened.

Experience not so good, they did not have hot water supply. Not very clean. But it has a very beautiful view of Kanchanjungha

Well-behaved and helpful staff, with a nice, quiet place that's perfect for spending quality time with your loved ones. They also provide food that has a warm, homely taste, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience. The only issue we faced was a bit of difficulty contacting them during the booking process. However, once we checked in, everything went smoothly, and we didn't face any further problems.

It’s a horrible experience ever I thought that’s a heaven when I saw the picture in that reels eventually when they have send me the photos of rooms but when I reached that place it was completely different like 180 degree rooms are worst and what not everything is bad and that Homestay guy his name is nirlipta bad person ever only misguided the people If you guys say your problem to them they will try to manipulate We booked for 5 days but only stay in one night Horrible horrible horrible experience Sooooooo big nooooooo🤮🤮 ❌

Worst experience ever. Dirtiest Homestay I have ever stayed. Everything is dirty. Plate, Glass, Spoon, bed sheet, bedroom, floor, towel, basin, all are like hell. Dining & kitchen areas like hell. Always smells Dog. Anyone will vomit if has a look the kitchen & cooking area. It was nightmare. We booked for 5 days, stayed only One night, after cleaning the floor by ourselves.

Very bad experience. We visited this homestay on 19/06/26 with 11 guests and experience was horrifying. The rooms they provided were full of insects. Food was worst, waited till 10am for just morning tea. We have to call the staffs everytime for minimum requirements even for a doormat. Not recommended at all.

THE WORST HOMESTAY EVER!! Idea and perceptions of a homestay changed due the experience of this homestay. My perception for homestay is "home-like", but the service provided by the specific staff is not at all good. To be very honest, the experience at other homestays were very welcoming and friendly and take care of small and big discomforts as well. PROs: 1. The location of homestay is at centre of Lolegaon market and into nature. 2. The outer ambience of the homestay is really appreciated. CONs: 1. The staffs are not responsible. 2. Rooms costing 1700 INR per day (including meal) but the service and inside of room is pathetic! 3. Washrooms are big but fully dirty (with smoke dusted in ever corners). Insects and spiders around. 4. The floor mats were dirty and wet. No place to keep our luggage even not on floor. 5. The timing of meals provided is never on time (expect to wait 30-45 mins). a) Breakfast is said to be provides at 8:30AM but provided at 9:30AM (no time strictness) b) Last lunch provided at 3PM (they don't serve the lunch post 3PM), in this case they are very much strict to time! c) For non-veg chicken curry only 2 piece per person is provided as per complementary meals. If asked of additional piece, they mention for additional charges. For egg curry only one egg is provided. d) Items provided out of complementary package are very costly and they do not mention the pieces or quantity of items in Menu card! 6. The quality of food and taste is also not good. They reuse the oils and end up into black remains on all meals. 7. The staffs do not bother to carry any luggages of usual customers, only for the customers who opted their cab services. Although I do not personally pefer this, but atleast the service should be same for all visitors and customers. Note: The homestay is business and money extraction oriented and not service oriented for the visitors. Please expect to pay the homestay charges at check-in itself (full amount) irrespective of services provided. The place is only popular in instagram due to the outer ambience not because of service and inner room conditions.

*Don’t Fall for the Instagram Reels – Full Payment Taken Before Check-In, Then You’re Stuck* *Extremely disappointing experience at Himalayan Hideaway Farmstay. *The property is advertised very attractively through Instagram reels, but the reality is completely different. Please don’t make the mistake of booking based solely on the social media content. *I have been traveling across North Bengal for more than 10 years, and this is by far the worst stay I have ever experienced. *The rooms were small, shabby, and looked nothing like the photos and videos used for promotion. Some rooms didn’t even have proper windows, making them feel dark and claustrophobic. There was no valley view or scenic view from the property as portrayed.The beds were too small for two person, but it looks big in advertised images. SMELL IS REALLY BAD! *Cleanliness and hygiene were a major concern. The rooms had a strong unpleasant smell, the bathrooms were tiny and smelled bad, and the bed sheets were grey, stained-looking, and had an unpleasant odor. It genuinely felt as though the sheets had not been been changed before our arrival. *The dining and kitchen areas were equally unhygienic. Dogs and cats were freely roaming in and around the kitchen and dining space. Shockingly, there was even visible dog menstrual blood in the dining area. The overall hygiene standards were extremely poor, and unfortunately, I became sick after eating the food served there. *Another major issue is that they collect the full payment before check-in. Once you’ve paid, you’re left with very little choice but to adjust to the conditions, regardless of the issues you face. This felt extremely unfair given the significant gap between what was advertised and what was actually provided. * The reality of this property is nothing like the image created through their online promotions. After years of traveling throughout North Bengal, this was easily the most disappointing stay I’ve experienced. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, or honest homestay experience.

Recently stayed at this homestay, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The management was extremely poor, with no sense of time or organization. Guests' time and convenience did not seem to be valued at all. The room was unclean and poorly maintained. Basic amenities and essential items that one would expect in a homestay were either missing or not properly arranged. Overall cleanliness and hygiene standards were below expectations. The food was average—nothing particularly memorable or worth recommending. In my opinion, the popularity of this place seems to be driven more by social media hype than by the actual quality of service. The management needs significant improvement in terms of hospitality, cleanliness, and guest experience. The only positive aspect of the stay was the outdoor ambiance. The surroundings and overall vibe outside the homestay were quite pleasant.
