**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A peaceful 5-day solo retreat in Lava — perfect for nature lovers and early risers** I recently spent 5 days at Misty Mons Homestay in Lava on a solo staycation, and it turned out to be exactly the kind of peaceful, restorative break I was looking for. Tucked away amidst pine forests and misty hills, the homestay offers a quiet escape from city life while still being conveniently close to Lava Monastery and the main bus/taxi stand — making it easy to explore the area whenever I wanted. The room I stayed in was clean, comfortable, and simply furnished, with a lovely view of the valley and surrounding hills right from the window. Waking up to fresh mountain air every morning was one of the highlights of the trip. The interiors are homely rather than fancy, which actually added to the relaxed, unhurried vibe of the whole stay. The food was outstanding throughout — fresh, home-style meals served daily, with a clear emphasis on quality and taste rather than just feeding guests. Over 5 days I didn't have a single meal that disappointed; if anything, the food kept getting better as the staff got to know my preferences. A special mention for the staff — even though the owner doesn't stay on the property, the team running the place was genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. They were always available to help with anything I needed, kept the place spotless, and made sure my stay was comfortable from start to finish. Their hospitality really made the place feel welcoming despite being away from home for so long. One of the best parts of my stay was the daily routine I built around it — I went out for a bike ride every single day, right from the homestay, exploring the surrounding hills, trails, and viewpoints around Lava. Having a reliable, peaceful base to return to after each ride made the whole experience even better. It's the kind of place that's ideal for anyone wanting an active, nature-immersed staycation rather than just a passive sightseeing trip. Overall, Misty Mons Homestay offered a great mix of comfort, good food, helpful staff, and a fantastic location for outdoor activities. Five days went by quickly, and I left feeling genuinely refreshed. Highly recommended for solo travelers, cyclists, or anyone looking to slow down in the hills.

We stayed at Misty Mons Homestay in Lava, West Bengal, and had a really pleasant experience. The location is one of the biggest advantages it’s just 2–3 minutes walking distance from the Lava bus/taxi stand and also very close to Lava Monastery, making it extremely convenient to explore the area. The service was excellent and the staff were very polite, helpful, and well-behaved, which made our stay comfortable. The food was genuinely awesome and the taste, quality felt homely. We were 4 friends staying for 2 days during the last week of December, and we enjoyed every meal. Just one small suggestion: adding a cupboard or wardrobe in the room to store clothes would make the stay even more comfortable. Apart from this, everything was top class. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lava.

I had an excellent stay at this Misty mons Homestay at Lava. The home stay located near Lava monestry. The rooms were clean, and beautifully maintained, bit little bit small. The bed was extremely comfortable (king size bed) and the bathroom was clean with all necessary amenities. All the meal was tasted fresh and well prepared. Staff (Kailash) was courteous and always willing to help. Con: Location is inclines from car parking. Otherwise this homestay is very good stay in Lava. Affordable and worth your every penny.

I have visited twice. And very homely atmosphere with home like food. Must stay Hotel in Lava. And Hotel Boy Kailash is also very good boy.
