If you really want to experience warm hospitality and scenic beauty you have to go to Basnet homestay in Takdah . The host Mr. Chhetri and his wonderful family will serve you curry of organic vegetables and hot atta poori and rotis . Their hospitality is top notch which will make you feel you are right at your home. We went there with our friends and families. You can enjoy numerous flowers in their garden and carp fishes in their pond. We will never forget the taste of their sabjis and genuine and humble behaviour.

Had one of the worst homestay experiences at Basnet Homestay. The biggest issue was hygiene and maintenance, spiders and leeches were literally everywhere, including inside the bathrooms and rooms. One of our friends even got injured because of the poor maintenance and unsafe surroundings. The food was good and the location and open space were beautiful. The owners and staff initially seemed friendly but the real problem starts when you actually need help. After 11 PM, nobody bothers to respond or assist you, no matter what situation you are facing. The hospitality was extremely disappointing. They are happy to take full payment from guests but the service and care provided are nowhere close to what anyone expects from a proper homestay experience. If you are planning a peaceful family trip or expecting basic comfort and support, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, with all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious home-cooked food—it felt authentic and added a special touch to the overall experience. What really stood out was the personal attention given by the hosts. They were always ready to help, guide us with local insights, and ensure we had a memorable stay. Overall, it was not just a stay but an experience filled with comfort, warmth, and great memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and peaceful getaway.

Nice homely attending persons, fantastic hospitality with pure nutritous foods. Only lacking dustbin arrangement for keeping cleanliess of rooms.

Basnet Homestay-এ আমার থাকার অভিজ্ঞতা সত্যিই দারুণ ছিল। 🌄 প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশ একেবারে মন ছুঁয়ে যাওয়ার মতো—চারদিকে শান্ত, সবুজ আর পাহাড়ি আবহাওয়া একদম রিল্যাক্স করে দেয়। হোমস্টের মালিক এবং স্টাফরা খুবই আন্তরিক ও সহায়ক। তারা সব সময় খেয়াল রাখে যেন অতিথিদের কোনো অসুবিধা না হয়। খাবারও ছিল ঘরোয়া, টাটকা এবং খুব সুস্বাদু—একদম বাড়ির মতো অনুভূতি দেয়।রুমগুলো পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্ন এবং আরামদায়ক, সঙ্গে ভিউটাও অসাধারণ। সকালে ঘুম থেকে উঠে এমন সুন্দর দৃশ্য দেখা সত্যিই এক অন্যরকম অনুভূতি।যারা শান্ত পরিবেশে কিছুটা সময় কাটাতে চান, তাদের জন্য Basnet Homestay একদম পারফেক্ট জায়গা। আমি অবশ্যই আবার এখানে আসতে চাই। ❤️

A beautiful Homestay like a picture ☺️. When you open the window, you can see the mountains. A peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The food and service are very good. If someone wants to spend a couple of days in the lap of the mountains, in solitude, then I would say this is a great choice. The houses are beautifully decorated. Talking to the mountains while standing on the balcony. It was a beautiful experience for us.

Marvelous food with Z+ level of hospitality. Must recommend it if you visit Takdah. Though you can't get a view room here
