We stayed in Gurung Guest House in Teenchuley for 4 nights in April 2025. It is a fairly large property having lots of rooms. our room was at road level (topmost) with a balcony looking out to the valley behind & we saw the glittering lights of Kalimpong in night. Room & bathroom was very comfortable & clean. Room rent was 2240 & food 840/day per person. there was power cut during our stay - but they ran geyser by generator. clean dining hall - brass utensils & very tasty meals. Teenchuley is a small village - spread on both sides of a winding road - only tourists were us & others staying in guest house. long walks to Gumbadara view point (more tourists) & walks along village roads & relaxing in balcony. 1 day we visited lamahatta etc by car - half day trip. very laid back & comfortable stay. Rajinder looked after us - sang with guitar also one evening - & told stories of delivery problems of his pregnant cat - she had to be taken to a vet in kalimpong ! Mr Gurung is the owner - nice & helpful. shall visit again someday hopefully.

Delightful, Hospitable, Tidy. Possibly the best stay option in Tinchuley with hygenic wood-finish rooms, prompt service and fantastic food-all on budget. Very welcoming staff who go out of way to assist guests. Scenic spots within walking distance. Near to local convenience stores. Visiting again.

রুম, বাথরুম কোয়ালিটি খুব ভালো। কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা ভিউ না থাকলেও বারান্দায় বসে চা-কফি খেতে খেতে আড্ডা দিতে দারুন লাগে। স্টাফেদের ব্যবহার খুবই ভালো।

This place is nothing less than Heaven on Earth!! From Service to Rooms to View - it’s just Picture perfect. We spent 3 most amazing nights here. They qualify on a 10/10 for the true meaning of a guest house.

We booked 2 rooms just one night before our visit. I have been in Tinchuley but not stayed in Gurung guest house before, but I must say that I missed the opportunity that time. So this time, I booked two rooms for our two families. Description of rooms are difficult because they are so so beautiful. The two rooms were connected through a common verandah, and the view is breathtaking. Must description should be the food here. The food served here is the best food I had in any homestay/ guest house. Moreover, the way they served is commendable. All the staff here is highly trained, soft spoken and very very friendly. Walking through the Pine forest is always to be in memories!!!! The owner Mr. Gurung ji us a very kind, soft spoken and helpful person. There may be many homestays coming up in Tinchuley, but if anyone wants the best room, food and view, they must must must visit and stay in this guest house. I would highly recommend this place for everything one need during holidays!!!

This is exactly what you'd call exquisite! This guest house was properly clean with no damage to the property or any other fungal spots on any of the furniture. The design is fascinating! We came here as two families ! And the rooms downstairs were what you'd define as heaven! It had a balcony which was connected to the balcony of another room! Luckily those two were the only ones left! So we chose our rooms with 3 people in each! With a connected balcony! And the view it had fascinated our eyes to the very most! Unfortunately kanchenjunga was hiding behind the clouds ! But no worries as the city lights were a banger! As if stars had gotten down on land! The service! Man! It was the best! The staff serving food was perfectly trained. We did not need to ask for anything, they were gazing at our tables I don't know how! But as soon as something was needed they immediately serves it us! Even when we hadn't asked! They served us food which was delicious! It was EXTEREMLY unique and so much of variety that it was hard to finish it! But who would miss out on such good food? That's pure talent! Everything was fabulous and I would strongly recommend this to everyone else!

They are very friendly, all staff are very well behaved. Food are owsom. Every things are neat and clean.

We, recently had the opportunity to stay at "Tinchuley".I am quoting it as an opportunity,as this is my 3rd visit to Tinchuley,and every time the place is full! This time, I was very shocked to get the booking of the place within such a short notice. We took a roadtrip from Kalyani to Tinchuley,and arrived there in a span of 12hrs.The road to the place is very scenic,with some beautiful twisties and pine-forest surrounding the place.The place is nestled among pine trees with the fog adding a beautiful ambiance to the place! The host is very amicable,always ready to listen to your queries.The place is run by the "Gurung"family.The stay was very comfortable,with beautiful balcony in almost every room.The food served was exceptional,in both quantity and quality. We didn't bring whisky with us,so the owner insisted us to have "K5" a Bhutanese brand,and to my surprise it was exceptional! There is a village monastery and beautiful pine-forest, which is like a stone throw distance from the place,we did enjoyed the morning walks to those place. It's a beautiful quaint village,away from the monotony of life!Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Tinchuley. Will be waiting for my next visit.

Very quaint homestay, excellent home cooked meals, cozy rooms with great views, very warm and welcoming staff. Highly recommend this budget friendly homestay.

Beautiful ambience with flowers, plants and a lot of peace...lovely rooms both double bed and four bedded...very tasty home-made food with care to details...a very warm host Mr. Gurung 4.5 ⭐....a little scope of improvement on the service side, starting hot water in morning for guests to get fresh.
