Kharka homestay Gielle te garden takdah

We stayed here on 28th & 29th August, and it was a truly memorable experience. The peaceful location amidst the tea gardens and mountains, warm hospitality, and delicious homemade food made us feel completely at home. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and every little detail made our stay special. A perfect place to escape the crowds, enjoy nature, and experience genuine Himalayan hospitality. Highly recommended! We would love to visit again.

Kharka Homestay, Takdah-এ আমাদের থাকার অভিজ্ঞতা সত্যিই খুব ভালো ছিল। হোমস্টেটি একেবারে চা বাগানের পাশে, আর ব্যালকনি থেকে অসাধারণ ভিউ দেখা যায়। স্থানীয় গোর্খা পরিবারের এই হোমস্টের মালিকরা ভীষণ ভালো ও আন্তরিক মানুষ। দারুণ ঘরোয়া রান্না, স্থানীয় সবজি ও কনডিমেন্টস খাওয়ার পাশাপাশি ওনারা আমাদের কিছু সুন্দর, কম ভিড়ের জায়গাও ঘুরিয়ে দেখিয়েছেন। এর মাধ্যমে দার্জিলিংয়ের একেবারে স্থানীয় ও আসল দিকটা দেখার সুযোগ পেয়েছি। আর হোমস্টেটি pet-friendly হওয়ায় আরও ভালো লেগেছে। সব মিলিয়ে দারুণ একটা অভিজ্ঞতা—আবারও আসতে চাই! (We had a really lovely stay at Kharka Homestay, Takdah. It’s right beside a tea garden and the view from the balcony is simply amazing. The homestay is run by a very kind local Gorkha family who made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed delicious home-cooked food, local vegetables and condiments, and they even took us to some beautiful, less-crowded places around Takdah. It was a great way to experience the real, local side of Darjeeling. Also, it’s pet-friendly! Truly a memorable experience — would definitely love to visit again.)

We had wonderful stay. This is the best homestay in Rangli Rangliot block of Darjeeling District.Room, Food, sightseeing, Tea garden, blue tista, Tinchulkey Pine forest charmed our journey.

Excellent atmosphere to spend here. Behaviour of Mr.and Mrs.kharka was awesome.Their is a tiny pet Molyyy made our journey more charmful.This is like our 2nd home... Nearest tea garden,waterfalls,orkid garden, Teesta, Tinchuley pine forest made our journey splendid..Food was also very tasty 😋 and delicious.Room was also very clean..I suggest everyone to spend their valuable time in this kharka homestay.

This could be called a second home . We ordered chicken barbecue and chicken momos . Despite the scarce availability of chicken they arranged chicken . Moreover the food was excellent .It felt as if we never left home. However the point which needs to be highlighted the most is their excellent hospitality. They arranged for all the amenities despite the non availability of electricity. Inverter was also available. Govind ji and Babita ji made excellent food .They are very hard workers . Despite the high number of tourists coming there they gave us quality time.Govind ji himself took us for a walk in the forest and showed us different types of flowers and wild fruits .

If you want to experience to stay with local, in a homestay in true sense then you must book this place. This property is in the Kharkadara village in Takdah. This is a true offbeat place in the lap of the nature. From the balcony of the homestay you can enjoy beautiful views of the nature with soothing sound of a waterfall. Such an amazing view, where one can spent a whole day just sitting in the balcony and get relaxed. The rooms of this homestay is little old and basic but very clean, neat and tidy. The warm hospitality of the owners of the homestay is unparalleled and unmatched. They are very helpful and friendly. We felt like a home away from home which will be in our mind forever.
