Jigme Dorje Farmstay, Mirik

⭐☆☆☆☆ Our stay at this farmstay was extremely disappointing and ended up ruining our entire trip. The biggest issue was the complete lack of transparency regarding the road conditions. Before booking and throughout our communication, we repeatedly asked whether it was safe to bring our car to the property. We were assured that it would not be a problem and were even told that the host could drive the vehicle if needed. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the access road was extremely narrow, damaged by landslides, and in a very poor condition. Had we been informed honestly about the state of the road, we would never have attempted to bring our car there. To make matters worse, the host's brother took responsibility for driving our car uphill, claiming he could manage it safely. During the attempt, the car got stuck dangerously close to the edge of the road and sustained scratches while being recovered. This was an incredibly stressful and avoidable situation caused by misinformation and poor judgment. The property itself also had a severe insect infestation, making the stay uncomfortable and unpleasant. After everything that happened, we felt compelled to leave early for our own peace of mind and safety. Despite the circumstances, the host refused to provide any refund for the unused nights, showing little concern for the inconvenience and distress caused. What was most disappointing was the overall lack of hospitality and accountability throughout the experience. Honest communication could have prevented all of this. Instead, we were misled about critical information, our vehicle was damaged, and our vacation was completely spoiled. I would strongly advise future guests to ask detailed questions about road accessibility and think carefully before bringing their own vehicle to this property.

Had a wonderful stay at this farmhouse stay. The hospitality was excellent, and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The place is peaceful, quiet,and perfect for relaxing away from the busy city life. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall experience was great. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of service provided. Highly recommend anyone looking for a calm and enjoyable stay.

It was a very pleasant and welcoming experience at Jigme's farm stay. The place is clean, eco friendly and peaceful, the view from the rooms is also very beautiful and has a lot of greenery around. If you are lucky and the weather is clear, you can even catch a glimpse of the mighty Kanchanjunga. About Jigme ji, he is a warm and welcoming person with lots of stories to share, the man is a legend himself with plenty of life experience and knowledge about Cars, Bikes, History, Horses and Dogs. The food there is also authentic and tasty. Overall, the place is an excellent choice for anyone who likes to take in the local culture and enjoys stories and nature.

This is a perfect getaway space for all who loves finding peace in nature. I visited there from Kerala but never felt distant or strange even for a minute! Jigme ji is a man of great enthusiasm, love for cars, horses, dogs and people, which kept us speaking all night. Be there if you're looking for a place to refresh yourselves with peace, good homely food, talk with a man having offbeat life experiences! A walk to Mirik town in evenings makes it more lively. Don't forget to ask him for a cup of tea made using tea leaves he plucks from his garden! Hearing about his Mahindra CJ3B is a must for all automotive enthusiasts. I highly recommend Jigme's Farmstay for you if my above writings ticks your expectations.

Jigme's farm is the best place for a peaceful retreat in the hilly area of Darjeeling. There is plenty of good food cooked for you, you can also use the kitchen for your own cooking. The cottage where we stayed was very cozy, spaceous and elegant. For fire lovers. There is an unlimited supply of firewood. All in all, the best place to come to to explore some hills with nice views, peaceful silence and very friendly locals.. Worth checking out.

冬、12月から1月にかけての数日間滞在しました。ホリデーシーズンでミリクの街中は喧騒に包まれていても、ここはプライベートと静けさを約束してくれる場所でした。夜は星空の下で焚き火をして暖まり、朝になればその場所からはカンチェジュンガが見えます。 宿は新しく、使われている素材に手作りのぬくもりも感じます。ベッドマットレスも清潔でした。 名前の通りジグメさんがオーナーですが、彼はしっかりと私達のプライベートを尊重しつつも、困っていることはないか、よく気遣ってくれる方でした。コストは立地、環境、衛生面など全体的にみてもかなり良心的な価格かと思います。数時間前でもお願いすれば有料で食事を作ってくれます。地元の無農薬の野菜を取り入れたシンプルなターリーを何度かいただきましたが、辛すぎたりしょっぱ過ぎることもなく、とっても美味しいです。わざわざ街中の人混みの中へレストランを探しにいく必要もありませんでした。 ひとつ注意事項があるとすれば、宿には暖房がないので、寒いのが得意でない方は、冬はしっかりと防寒対策をしてこられることをお勧めします。 個人的には、山の綺麗な空気と景色の中で穏やかに過ごしたい方にここはベストな場所だと思います。
