We were stayed 4 families room including food (Package). Pathetic experience. Except location Room is -5 out of 5* & Food was -00 out of 5*. Pest found inside the all rooms Worms, Mosquitos. Food below then any roadside of railway canteen. Some how spend sleepless night with family 🫩 NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED 👎

On paper, the Ahaldara View Point Homestay looks like an absolute dream, boasting a cool exterior and beautiful, sweeping views of the lush Selphu tea gardens and the viewpoint right outside. Sadly, once you step inside, the entire illusion shatters into a highly frustrating and overpriced disappointment. At a steep price of ₹1,600 per head, you are essentially paying a massive premium just for a scenic location, while the management completely ignores basic human comfort and hospitality. The disappointment hits the moment you check in and realize you weren't even given the room you were originally promised. Instead, we were shoved into a claustrophobically tiny, cramped space that was heavy with a thick, suffocating dampness. The maintenance is shockingly poor; the almirah was so warped and jammed that it wouldn't even open, forcing us to live out of our bags, while the gates were incredibly rusty and required a ridiculous amount of physical force just to pry open and close. To make matters worse, the food was equally subpar and uninspiring. The meals felt rushed and poorly prepared, with vegetables and sides that were tough, undercooked, and clearly not properly boiled. No amount of beautiful tea garden scenery can compensate for a damp, broken room, terrible upkeep, and bad food. It is an absolute trap that is completely not worth the money, and you would be far better off finding a humble, well-maintained homestay elsewhere in the area.

Tremendously bad experience..stuff behavior is extremely disappointing..when we visited the place..due to heavy rain we took shelter under a cottage balcony.. there was no one in the cottage..it was closed..suddenly a stuff came and started shouting on us..we requested to let us stay till the rain stops..but he continued shouting on us and forced us to move out in that heavy rain..I mean, okay if we have made a mistake at least a decent behavior is expected..this is unexpected..

Extremely bad behavior. We went to the property to visit. And during the time heavily rain started..we took shelter under a roof because of the rain..the caretaker came in and literally started shouting on us and forced us to move out form the shelter in middle of the rain.. I will never come to this place..

Room was very dirty. Food was bad.

I had a very disappointing experience at this homestay. The room was not clean at all — there was dust, stains, and an overall lack of hygiene which made the stay uncomfortable. The food quality was also very poor. It did not taste fresh and was not prepared with proper care. Considering the price, the quality of both accommodation and food was far below expectations. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and hygienic stay. The management really needs to improve cleanliness and food standards.

The room was not properly cleaned, and there was no water in the washroom in the morning, which was very inconvenient. Additionally, we noticed a spider in the room, which made the stay uncomfortable.

Stayed at Ahaldara Viewpoint Homestay recently. The location is excellent with stunning views. They offer two types of rooms—normal cottages and glass cottages. From the glass cottages, you can see the majestic Kanchenjunga, and some are even two-storied. If you take the top floor, you can enjoy sunrise and mountain views right from your bed. However, these rooms are smaller and have floor bedding due to space constraints, unlike the more spacious ground floor rooms with proper beds. Guests in normal cottages can use the common sitting area to enjoy the sunrise and scenic beauty. That said, the homestay lacks proper management of visitors—outsiders frequently enter the common viewing area, take photos, and linger, which affects guest privacy. Being right next to the viewpoint, this issue persists throughout the day. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the dining area is quite small, making it difficult to accommodate everyone when the property is full. Network connectivity is also limited. Overall, great views and location, but improvements in management and infrastructure would enhance the experience.

The homestay itself at a best location. But you won’t expect any kind of mesmerising view form room or balcony. Otherwise foods and the other amenities is just ok.

Owner's behaviour is very rude. Price is very high and facilitates are very poor.
