Sewan's Place

Had an excellent two nights homestay at Sewan's place in Mirik. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The host (Ms. Sewan) went out of her way to make us feel very comfortable. The ordered meals were healthy and wholesome. A wonderful find, indeed.

I had a very good experience at Sewan’s. The place is done up and maintained really well, it’s classy, clean, structured and well run. Tshiden’s mother is the force behind the place, she looked after us while Tshiden was away on work. I highly recommend Sewan’s Place to all fellow travellers.

Best place to stay in Mirik. It was better than any 4star hotels. The food was made so nice and the whole property was clean and great ambience. Recommended for everyone who’s visiting Mirik.

I stayed at Sewans place for just a night while travelling solo. I was struck by the serenity of the place, as soon as I entered. The room, bathroom, and the linens were spotless and the shared kitchen came in very handy. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. Sewan was a very kind and gracious hostess. I loved their plant collection too, and the aesthetic of the home. I hope to be back one day!

The warm welcome by the lovely host instantly makes you feel at home.Very well maintained place and you should definitely go for the warm meals which reminds of home instantly,not to forget the amazing view of the lake from the balcony.Definitely going to visit again!

This homestay is really good. Owner is very helpful. You can get a great view of the Mirikh city and Kanchenjunga from house. Food is also good. Rooms and washroom are clean

Had a really pleasant stay here. The view of the town from the place is beautiful and adds a lot to the experience. The host is very kind, friendly, and always ready to help. A big plus is having access to a full kitchen for yourself, which is perfect if you want to cook your own meals. Overall, a comfortable stay and definitely worth it.

We arrived at the homestay quite late, around 8.30 in the evening, yet the host welcomed us warmly and immediately served tea, followed by a comforting dinner. The interiors were aesthetically pleasing and reflected a calm, tasteful design that added greatly to the overall experience. Every detail seemed carefully considered, creating a space that was both comfortable and visually appealing. This homestay is a very reasonable and worthwhile choice for anyone seeking a peaceful and pleasant stay. Its location is an added advantage, with the lake and Bokar Monastery both within easy walking distance. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, as it offers one of the best experiences you could hope for during your stay.

Our stay at *Sewans Place, Mirik* was truly a beautiful and memorable experience. I visited with my wife, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The house is extremely neat, clean, and very well maintained — you can clearly see the care and effort put into keeping the place comfortable for guests. A special mention to **Chidan**, who manages the property so wonderfully. He is such a kind and humble person, always ready to help with a smile. He guided us properly about the best way to reach the location and also suggested what all places we should cover in and around Mirik, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The food was another highlight of our stay — simple, homemade, and absolutely delicious. It felt comforting, just like home-cooked meals after a long day of travel. Overall, our experience at Sewans Place was peaceful, pleasant, and truly memorable. If you’re looking for a cozy stay with warm hospitality and great a lovely view in Mirik, I would highly recommend this place. We’ll definitely love to visit again! 😊

איזה תענוג! הרבה מעבר למצופה! הגעתי למערער לבד כדי לנוח וחקור את האיזור. המקום היה לי מושלם. מייד קיבלתי תחושה של בית. החדרים נקיים ויפים, יש השקעה בעיצוב וחשיבה על פרטים. מהחלון והמרפסת רואים את פסגת הקג׳נג׳ונגה ואת האגם. בעל המקום נחמד ועזר לי מאוד בידע, המלצות וארגון מונית. המיקום מצויין כי קרוב למנזר הטיבטי וביקרתי שם בכל בוקר בזמן התפילות, רחוק מההמולה ועם נוף משגע. הארוחות שאכלתי היו טעימות ומזינות והמטבח נוח לשימוש. ממליצה מכל הלב
